OFFICIAL NIKE AIR COMMAND FORCE PUMP & 180 PUMP RETRO THREAD (**NEW ACTUAL PIC ON PG 1)

I have to disagree with Jshortt for once:
I've professed my love for the Flight 90 on several occasions.
They kill the Solos.
But like always, to each their own :smokin
Regardless, I love seeing the old Nike BBaLL joints getting respect, publicly.

Imo, in the 90s, visible air > non visible air. I was obsessed with most shoes with a visible air bubble back then. Too bad I never really had many. I think my first pairs with vis air were maroon Jordan 6s, and Air Force 180 pumps. Both picked up from an athletic xpress that was going out of business.

Haha, fair enough. I remember an absolute ton of NBA guys wearing the Solos.

I, too, was obsessed with vis-air. It was like a status symbol in the late 80's/early 90's. But certain shoes like the Solos and Flight Lites were beyond that. They were just fantastic shoes. Hell, the Magnum Force is one of my all time favorites, and it was a $75 takedown.

Peace,
J

This shoe and color way will always have a place in my heart.

*not my pic

I'm staying hopeful that these still release this weekend. Nike sportswear keeps saying the 18th.

What was the name of the nikes that were the take down version of the air jordan v?

Not happening. I could see Maybe a slight possibility on NDC. but last I looked, they hadn't even started shipping from the warehouse yet.

Peace,

My local Size store had these out early so was able to cop on Saturday. Really pleased with how these came out, easily one of my favorite pick ups of 2014

I want both! :lol

Just give them to me Nike. As a Kid I wanted everything, but as most of us, we only have one choice, and I picked the Jordan IV in 89 with no Visible air (foot too small), and Jordan V in 90 with Vis Air. I also loved the Auburn Trainer SC at the time. My Dad had the solo flights if I remember correctly. But I too was obsessed with visible air as a kid. When you see the solo flights on TV, like in "Life goes On" and "Fresh Prince" you see how awesome of a shoe they are. I do like the command force pumps, and will buy them, but my heart will always lean more towards the solo flight and flight 90.

If I had to choose one pair just as I did as a kid, I would choose the solo flight over the flight 90. Just barely though. That white/green pair with always win for me.

It's amazing how that little window meant so much. Less was more back then, now a full air max TL bubble doesn't do much for me :lol

For me, its because Nike ruined the air unit. When the Air Max2 came out in 94 I was more excited than ever for a shoe. The huge air unit on the Trainer Max 94 and CB 34 were crazy big for the time period.

Now and days, these air units are small, uncomfortable, and just look uninspired any new models, while ruining the looks on the retros (Penny 1, CB 34, Griffey max, AM 93, etc.) They have ruined that specialness from the 90's.

Im just glad there are still retros like the flight 90 that have an air unit built in the midsole where the size doesn't affect the look of the shoe.

Anybody taking a shot at these? Pretty tempting...
i almost did but the fact is that the postal service being on strike and its only $5 dollars more for US retail makes me hesitant to buy since you might not get them until christmas, some dudes on this strike have things tied up since august in south africa.

That extra $2-3 over $200 will get you hit with customs fees. I almost pulled the trigger, then I realized that.
