OFFICIAL NIKE A I R M A X ZER0 THREAD ** The One Before The 1 **

I don't have to step foot in the Air Max 1 thread. I was there. I know you guys whine about shapes like they do in every thread on this board, Jordan, New Balance.... I'm one of the few people who actually goes everywhere on this board and I've been in to sneakers for decades. The materials are totally different than OG Air Max 1's. Patches are just another way to milk money from Air Max fans.

You're dismissing one sneaker as a gimmick in preference for another sneaker with a gimmick. My point. Lucky should have just said he preferred the Patches than use that excuse. Just say you like the sneaker. I hate when people downplay one sneaker over another and contradict themselves while doing it.

So today I wore my AM zeros all day and I can truly say that these are the most comfortable sneakers I own. It's toe to toe with the OG roshe runs.

Thought I'd peek back in here for the glamour shots, thinking maybe I'd come around to these.

Nope.  Still awful.

Nike marketing = GOAT status.

Indeed, these are cool but i didnt pickup, but the way they advertised this was pure genius, the public ate these up like hot cakes

Couldn't agree with you more. If this shoe had dropped ehhh.. Let's say today as just a new Air max.. Do you think it would of sold out and be reselling for close to 300 in some sales?

Never

The whole air max day promotion, all celebs having a pair and posting on their social networks, being "limited" (notice the quotes) made it more appealing to the avg consumer

Nike knows what their doing

Absolutely agree, qft.

These feel great, even slightly better than roshes for me because of the cushioning.

Then you should understand the AM1 frustration being into sneakers for decades. I've also been into sneakers for most of my life and Nike releases such nice colorways with cool materials, but they shaped like crocs. I did not mention I liked the materials, just the the OG shape because it makes the AM1 look like sleek runners of the past.

If you are talking about materials being different than OG, the Air Max Zero doesn't even feature the same materials from Tinkers original design. Air Max Zero are also a way to milk money out of Air Max fans and hypebeasts. If the Zero released a month before or after Air Max Day as a GR with no marketing around it, they would be sitting on shelves.

Nike uses gimmicks all the time. Its like every year you get the same OG colorways with new technology or materials. Hyperfuse, EM, lunar soles and many other recent materials, but with a spin on it. Do you dismiss those shoes too? Some of those releases were good and some looked terrible, but at the end of the day its all a gimmick for Nike, every release.

Would I have paid resell for AM0? No, I was fortunate to go to the pop-up and I thought they looked cool so I bought them to wear.

Did I choose to pay resell for black AM1 patches? Yes, 2x. I loved the shape and colorway (not patches)

You're posts are aimed towards patches in general e.g. 90,95. My post and Lucky's post was specific to the olive, sand, black AM1 patches.

Moving on from this derailment. We can take it to PMs, but I'm over this discussion. No point, when we all have the same frustrations with the big corporation.

Absolutely not. To me it looks like a modern 2015 Air Max. These would have been highly overlooked had they not had the AMD hype to back it up. Don't get me wrong, I like the shoe and I regret passing on them, but there is no way I'll pay the current resale price on these.

got my pair in from Sivas and these things are so damn comfortable. They feel better than they look honestly haha

someone said they wanted to see what these would have looked like without today's technology, but honestly i don't think these would look good if they were manufactured back in the 80s.

if you think about that early mesh and how many stitches would have been required on the lateral sides...the look would have been pretty meh. for the time period, i can see why the 1 was the chosen option.

also the price wouldn't be $150 back in the 80s

There really isn't a way to track it. The most that you can do is track it through MRW but it only says if it's in transit. They get delivered by fedex it seems like once here in the states.

what's the highest you seen? so far last i check highest was at $400

Man these resale prices are getting ridiclous on these especially the size 10.5 and 11.  All the people i been messaging on ebay want 260 and above.  My fault for sleeping on them.  They didnt sell out on SNKRS fast at all.  Should have bought  then.
