Ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly game by the Bruins.
They looked like the slow, nonchalant, and offensively inept team I watched all season long. I really hope we pick things up Game 6.
Congrats to the Habs, too. (To be honest, I ended up switching to that game once Philly scored number 4)

You act as if there aren't hundreds if not thousands of Penguins fans saying the same exact thing on other forums or in real life.

It's all good regardless of how 7 goes, winning a cup and gong to the finals the year before has to tire a team and take some toll, if Habs win this next one though I do think they go to the cup finals. Beezer in 96 style

Yea, they have logged a lot of games over the last two seasons but that seems like it could be used as a built in excuse you know? I was rooting for a Game 7 but I'm hoping the Pens pull it out. If Montreal does happen to win and get to the finals, they're going to get mopped by any team in the West. They're not as strong an 8 seed as that Edmonton team in 06 that took Carolina to 7 games.

Nah, I think Pittsburgh will put up a good shot against San Jose or Vancouver/Chicago. Can't underestimate a team that has been there before, especially a team that is going there for the third straight season. SJ is liable to revert to their old ways at any moment, Luongo has never been on the big stage and Niemi is still Niemi

I'd call the Olympics a pretty big stage, but I understand what you're saying. Vancouver has a lot of work to do to even be in that conversation though.

Am I the only one that thinks the Habs have already defeated the Pens, game 7 will just be a formality. The Pens can't close out at home.

It's not a built in excuse it is how I feel. I've seen a Cup and two SB wins in 5 years I have no real reason to get upset over sports anytime soon

Cant find the link but read an intriguing article this morning. It was about the possibility that the Habs are a "team of destiny" and they are rolling along no matter what happens. Their ability to win in when facing elimination, fill injuries with missing a beat, emergence of unsung heroes (PK Subban is my new fav player, so long Mike Green), etc. They are extremely impressive and Halak reminds me of Giggy in 2003. Hopefully they win against Pitt. An original 6 ECF would be sweet.
