I think Conference Championship games hit in the same way though. I hate the Saints and Eagles more than Green Bay. There’s just so much in those specific title games I can’t let go.

Sleep. So if you beat last-seeded Green Bay is Sirianni gonna be signed to a 4-5 year deal?

Again sleep it’s late where you are, hi buddy

Would like you to weigh in on my last question but Saul goodman

Eagles lose, sirianni gets fired swiftly

Eagles need to win more than a game for him to be retained

but what happens at OC also factors into sirianni’s situation

Only “sticky” if you don’t want to fire the guy

If the team wins, you reward him.. ain’t no salary cap on coaches.. nothing stopping you from firing him at a later point

But should kellen moore go elsewhere, someone has to come in to run the the offense for dude

I’m trolling, hope it gets down to that and the Commanders and Pack win

If the Commanders win (not a giant feat)

If the Vikings win in Arizona where all our snowbirds go during winter (watch how much purple on Mon)

And you tie that into what it means if the Pack win in Philly

I don’t gotta explain what I mean.

Or do I, I’m sitting out here on a Johnson 3 horsepower outboard motor trolling for some bass or northern

Fields is at least young enough to where it would make sense to try to see what you can make out of him. Had the team at 4-2.

You know what you’re getting out of Russ. Certainly not the athlete he once was. Was a .500 QB.

Neither guy is ultimately the answer.

Winning masks a lot of things, because underneath the surface of that 4-2 record; the Justin Fields offense was on the same statistical pace as the Matt Canada/Kenny Pickett 2023 offense. They were winning games with field goals thanks to Boswell and they had 2 passing TD’s through 6 games. If Russ was healthy, I truly believe they could’ve started off 6-0 or 5-1 which would’ve had them first in the division by seasons end even if they lost the last 4

Steelers low key aren’t that good of a team. They beat up on bad opponents. Their wins against LAC and DEN early were before those teams came into their own. They had a decent win against Baltimore and I guess you could say a decent one against Cinci. Outside of that they beat up on scrubs. They are a mid team that finds ways to make it into the playoffs. Russ isn’t it, he isn’t consistent and is limited on what he can do for a team. Tomlin is a good coach but in my opinion a bit overrated. This team is like the Dame era of the Blazers to me as that is a local franchise. Good enough to be playoffs, not good enough to win. So basically purgatory. Steelers fans aren’t going to put up with that forever.

I agree with this to a certain extent, but good teams find a way to win games regardless of the opponent. There was a night and day difference of how the team looked through the first 13 games vs the last 5. The defense couldn’t force turnovers, the offensive play calling was atrocious thanks to Arthur smith, Jaylen warren was hardly used to spell Najee, Pickens got hurt on a team with no real solid WR2, etc

They went 5-4 against teams with winning records. One thing I’ve always hated as a Steelers fan is how front or back loaded the schedule has been for the last 4-5 years now. I think most teams would fold down the stretch if their schedule looked like this post bye week:

@ 6 seed in NFC
Divisional opponent
@ divisional opponent
@ divisional opponent
Divisional opponent
@ 2 seed in NFC
@ divisional opponent
1 seed in AFC
Divisional opponent

Not to mention those last 3 games were all played within 10 days. End of the day, this team defied expectations considering most pundits had them being last in the division, missing the playoffs and Tomlin having his first losing season and none of that came to fruition

Russ not really putting any pressure on defenses with his legs anymore is a major issue. He’s an average to decent, one-dimensional QB at best now, and that just isn’t going to cut it. Especially when he plays in a division with 2 guys immensely better than him, on top of having Mahomes, Allen, Stroud to worry about in conference.
