I don't know that's increasing the game day roster size by 15 players or more. I'm not sure the NFLPA would go for that.

The logic doesn't make any sense. Dressing an additional 15 players, who aren't NFL caliber, would lower the level of play not raise it. If they were even played, which they wouldn't be.

15 is kinda pushing it but NFL teams could use another 5-8 players on game day rosters.

How are an additional 15 players "not NFL caliber" when you've got guys like the McCown brothers, Jimmy Clausen, and Josh Johnson starting games? Games are bad because players aren't prepared. Over 250 players are invited to the combine, YEARLY, not to mention guys who get drafted, who don't get invites. That's 2,500 prospects every decade. Again, we aren't even including the players who go undrafted. You mean to tell me, the NFL is inviting "inferior" prospects, to be scouted? If so, that's embarrassing. There are 10+ quality players available, per team. Yet, we've got kickoff specialist, kickers, punters, longsnappers, etc. It is an excuse

Can you read? Look at the poster, who I quoted. He said there aren't 15 "NFL" caliber players available, to increase the amount of payers on team rosters.
I broke it down to him, to explain that there are good players available. I mentioned how you've got 3-4 players (punter, kicker, longsnappers) who dress out for games, so why can't more skill players, or lineman, be added to game day rosters?
Teams would be able to rotate, and have players fresher, during the actual games
I added scouting and combine information, to show how many players are scouted and invited to the NFL combine, during the offseason. Read the complete dialogue and stop being lazy.

I believe hes saying there's a lot NFL prospects who could develop in solid NFL contributors if the roster size was larger.
You have to think the NFL doesn't have a minor league system like the other Sports do. Teams play guys they got off other teams practice squads or even guys they got off the streets.
You have to think if roster space wasn't so precious, more teams could take time and develop guys.
Remember Tom Brady rookie season he was initially kept around as a 4th string quarterback, which is very rare.

Thank you for a readable and coherent response.
NFL doesn't have a minor league system because unlike any other American sport, college football alone actually does a fairly decent job of producing talent. Not that it's perfect, but it is a system that puts NFL ready talent on the field.
But that has nothing to do with the point. The NFL isn't a developmental league, whether it should be or not is a different discussion.
The question was will increasing roster side raise the current level of play.
The answer is no. At least not in terms of immediate benefits on Sundays, which is what the whole discussion was about. Adding 15 guys to the roster so players are fresher wouldn't raise the level considering those 15 just aren't up to the standard.
Tom Brady is the exception not the rule. There aren't 50 guys out there who are NFL ready, who aren't in the league simply because they didn't get the chance. Much less 15, or 5, for every NFL roster.
Again, the topic wasn't development. Dude basically said the league needs more players because players are so fatigued over the course of the game that the level drops (which isn't true).
My only point, adding X amount of players who currently aren't good enough for 53-man rosters and making them available on game day will NOT raise the level of play in the NFL.
