It's funny, people praise defensive linemen off sacks, forced fumbles, swats, but when they stop producing those statistics they want us to look the other way like thats not what made their name.

Depends on the player and system. Aaron Smith was a dominant DE for so many years, but in the 3-4 he simply doesn't have the stats 
But yeah in this case the narrative changed
That said the praise for Watt wasn't unwarranted last year. Dude was incredible

Yes unless you are sitting with the coaches and players breaking film, you cant know every detail that goes into playing quarterback in the NFL.
But most fans can figure about 70 percent, if your more hardcore or have more experience you can probably figure out 85-90 percent of what's going with a quarterback by watching them.
Who's a quarterback right now that's universally considered to suck? Bradford? Cousins? Mallet?
When they suck are you asking for All-22 film or Twitter breakdowns to explain it?
