Several years ago someone on here posted that a J. Crew in Toronto had a random pair lying around in a size 11. So I immediately called them and asked if they could ship them. They said they could only ship to a Canadian address, so I asked a friend that lives up there if I could use her address for shipping. They ended up just shipping them directly to me which was nice. The 11 was a little big, so I found someone on eBay selling a 10.5 for a reasonable price, and I sold the 11's.

Been looking at 1500's lately, haven't owned a pair yet. Over the past 6 months I've been buying more New Balance based on quality and fit. I have mostly 997's, 998 and recently 577's. I like the look of the 1500, how does it run? Pro's/cons? Cheap place to buy a pair to try?

Comfort is good. Definite step up from the 997. Pants are Camo****a easy pants.

1500 runs slightly long and narrow for me compared with the 997. Not enough to size down. Comfort is about the same. Depends on the model you want but the spring/summer colorways are on sale on multiple sites.

Keith 998 in Shark Blue (patent pending), took it in full sunlight, and it’s still a bit tricky to represent how it looks in hand. Had to ask my wife (because I’m slightly color blind) and she tells me it’s a charcoal blue, despite that, to me, it has a slightly greenish tint. GR tier materials, especially the pebbled paneling. Additional tonal Shark Blue (patent pending) laces included. Comes in a standard grey NB box.
