I get the numbers. I'm asking about the letters. I see posts about 997BBK, 997GY, 997GY2, etc. What do the letters indicate?

for the GRs the letters are usually the colors.  like 997gy (gray), 998gnr (gray navy red).  the collabs have their own letters like 998prmr premier, 998rf etc.

I dont think anyone can open it. Same issue as the AM patches yesterday the page would come out to just HTML code

Also, the wood is not smooth, any splinters can damage the suede and mesh.

Did that complex article bump up the price of the luxury goods? Picked up a pair last summer DS for under retail. eBay prices are insane now.
