I have some 990s (version 1), 997s and 1400s, but I was looking to purchase some 998s or maybe 1500s next. I'm not sure about these two models and never had a chance to try them on because the NB outlet near me doesn't get either one.

They sell them at the NB outlet for 2 bucks if you have one near by. I have them in my 997DTE and they're the nice thicker kind. I usually go with a 45" on a 998 or 997.

Good looks! My size 11.5's comes with 54" laces, and they are definitely too long. Might have to go down if possible to 45" Thanks!

Absolute truth. Ultra Boost, FlyKnit Racer, Asics etc. are absolutely miserable. Then there's the resident grumps in the AM1/90 threads. NB is peaceful and actually helpful 90% of the time.
