in regards to comments regarding getting past players when you have a mismatch. Czar had a great tutorial on youtube when 2k16 first released that taught me how to use "a flick of the stick" to take a quick mini step to either side. that makes the defensive player move his feet and allows a player to make a move around him. when i can't get to the basket with consistency using a player that should be able to do so especially against mismatches, i use that move with a decent level of success. its a low fi way of being efficient getting into the paint.
i do think that certain players that have no issues getting around people should be the same in the game. and...as a counter, the defensive (big man) in a mismatch situation should play back at times and concede the jump shot.
i think the way to make the game seem like you "got your butt kicked fair" and not cheated is to continuously make strategy improvements like that.

there is no excuse for 2k to have the same lame atmosphere that they have always have...especially when 6-8 years ago, there were games out that had this on point. i love 2k, being a part of #simnation has helped to give me a better understanding of why things can't be perfect, and the effort and time it takes to make things better...and how hard that team works
my complaints with them, that i feel like they have no excuses for are
1. in game atmosphere
2. the fact that every year they take something in game and revamp it, sometimes for no reason. (sometimes to go right back to it in later versions... i.e. button comb to do the euro step) so they basically start from scratch every year in some areas. create something, stick with it and build on it. don't revamp post play one year with the promise of building on that foundation, then the next 2 releases, revamp post play 2 more times. what are you building on? (and yes, i do understand that some things are just broken and/or could just be better)
and before some contentious NTer posts some demonstrative response to this...keep in mind,...
IMHO
