OFFICIAL NBA 2k16 Thread | Available Now

YOU interpreted it that way

Like I said, I never said it was a reach.

I just don't see it happening.

Not the same thing

From @Da_Czar, re: Dominating with Kobe

I don't believe you will be able to. At least I currently can't. From what I am seeing when playing the game this year an 85 in 2k15 is not the same in gameplay as an 85 in 2K16. At least where Kobe is concerned. My last game with Kobe I was 2-12 I tried to force the action a bit to no avail.

I don't see anyone really winning games by playing through him unless they move him around and find really favorable matchups.

There have been lots of under the hood changes that effect how the game actually plays out. So it might be worth seeing what you can actually do with each guy before burning the house down based on an overall number.

Challenge accepted. You've been able to DOMINATE with guys in the 70s in every 2k since they started. I highly doubt this game will be any different.

Other improvements that should be made that are easy...

You can customize your matchups against cpu teams to work in your favor, but the cpu doesn't? Cpu should make matchup changes as well.

Double teams come way too infrequent and late. I scored 55 points with my pf and saw no double teams the whole game.

Cpu shouldn't always wait till you score 18 points in a quarter before double teaming. Sometimes it should double from start to finish/during key possessions/in crunch time etc.

Jimmy butler got hot in the 1st quarter with 10 points. He started seeing doubles the next possession. I think it depends on the teams systems....

This definitely happens in 2k15 already.

At least it did with me. One of the few things I was incredibly impressed with when it came to defense along with how teams PnR coverage would change depending on who you're playing with.

I WOULD like to see the CPU use different matchups than the traditional, PG vs PG, SG vs SG. I would love to see a Wizards vs. Orlando game and the CPU put their SF Mo Harkless on Bradley Beal. Or to see them put LeBronze on Rose or something like that. That never happens. I actually use the 2nd controller and make adjustments like that FOR the computer because I know they don't do it.

Nothing he can do that will put him above

Klay

Butler

Harden

Those 3 are a lock.

So

Wade

Kobe

Derozan (Yalls man)

He will do enough to jump past them? Nah.

Thats my man too. DC Area product but nah. Maybe next year
who is the 5th best SG right now?

Harden

Klay

DWade

Jimmy Butler

Oladipo took a mini leap near the end of the RS i like his potential and he has actually improved his game as the year progressed his stats per month from Yahoo he should be able to average 20 4 4 next year with above average defense to be a top 5 sg him and Beal should improve

ive watched wades whole career and ive been telling my boys all summer that oladipo is the next wade , he plays just like a rookie wade til this point . I think he might be able to make that jump his highlights this year were sick

100% agree with this. It's one of the things they should've addressed a long time ago.

Didn't know people played the CPU.......

CPU >> online, the online lag on 2k is trash..I just play HOF with sliders from operationsports

I never lag. You need to fix your internet connection. Your internet can't handle 2k online.

Srsly not throwing shots. Try using a Ethernet cord.

Even though I don't play Park and MyPlayer, I apprciate Live not allowing folks to buy their points to level up. You actually have to grind your way to higher ratings. I can't do anything but respect that.

They can only do that to a certain point. Like you can get your guy to around an 80 overall straight from the jump, but to get any better than that you have to earn upgrades by playing the career games. You know 2k isn't gonna miss a chance to make as much paper as they can SMH

I'm plugged in and have the highest internet package from my provider and the lag still exists. 2K servers are just ****.

Live is continuously impressing me. I love 2K but Live is looking good but their gameplay just stinks real bad.

Who needs in game improvements when you can layer tattoos!
:lol   This is true

But I think it is virtually impossible for most to separate legacy from recent production with Kobe. But I do feel legacy has to be considered to a degree.

For example.

If Rajon Rondo and Luke RIdnour shoot and attempt the same amount of 3's this upcoming season (38% on 250 attempts), I don't feel Rondo and Ridnour should have the same exact 3PT rating in 2K17 simply because this is the first season Rondo actually shot the ball well. Ridnour is historically a good shooter so that should be taken into consideration, to a degree.

So you can't just ignore legacy.

Naw, b. This ain't 2K8-15 legacy edition.

If they attempt and score the same amount of threes this season, next seasons ratings should reflect that.

If that's the case, Kobe should be a 98 based on "legacy"

But we all know Rondo isn't going to have 2 back to back good shooting seasons, so...

they did my dude kobe dirty. how you not gon be able to dominate at 85?? they changing physics just to hate on the homie. brb, I'm finna go put paws on ronnie.

[JH] You shouldn't judge overall ratings until individual attributes are revealed because player positions, athleticism, and defense 8) [/JHAllAmerican]
