Miami's weakness is strong inside-out play and their strength is perimeter defense.  Memphis is built to beat Miami.  Rudy Gay wouldn't have given them anything against the Heat.

Them losing a theoretical series to Miami isn't predicated on anything they lost by trading Gay.

Oklahoma City is a different story.

They could easily beat them by just focusing on the big two..and the rest will take care of itself. No one else would be contributing...and even with the big two having good games... there would be a clear mismatch on the offensive side... Tayshon would get destroyed by lbj.... wade could score on tony allen...but allen would be virtually nonexsitent on the offensive end...same for tayshon. Marc or Zbo would have to exert energy and play away from the basket in regards to gaurding bosh....due to his ability to make the 15 ft. jumper. And again no one outside the two can score or create shots...and the little they can do on offense they would be tired from using so much energy on the defensive end.
