What did the gold standard win before he ran to south beach with Wade and Bosh? He was doing the same thing that Melo is doing now right? If you gave Melo Wade and Bosh, what do you think would happen?
This is the team that rolled to 54 wins or whatever it was. Why not chalk it up towards bad coaching and players slumping at the wrong time? Saying Melo is lacking other options is a cop-out, IMO.
Team was flawed from the jump, but no one saw it (or wanted to admit it) when the going was good. ****, they were preparing for a FUNERAL in round 1. These guys lack leadership and coaching. Just about everything has to go right for the Knicks to win. Where they go from here? That's anyone's guess. The roster is a complete disaster and they are pretty much handcuffed for the next 2 seasons.
*As far as the Knicks roster -
Let's remember...Melo FORCED a trade to NY with Amar'e already there. Coaching can only do so much...at some point players have to develop chemistry with one another. Amar'e hasn't been a model of health over the past 3 years, but in the 70+ games he's been on the floor with Melo, they are well under .500
To say that the FO hasn't surrounded him with the right players isn't entirely fair because Melo is one of the main reasons why there is no flexibility and also he's part of the problem w/ Amar'e.
Complete disaster...talk about hyperbole. Chandler was clearly hurt combined with playing basketball pretty much non-stop since the 2010 season. A disaster is the Raptors, the Knicks are an average to above-average team now for the next couple year. Prolly max out at ECSF. Is that what I want? No, of course not. But that is hardly a disaster. You were calling the Knicks a 7-seed at the beginning of the season, so I tend to disregard your opinion on us. You just love railing against the Knicks anytime they are brought up.
They were a flawed team, everyone knew that but Melo was really good this year and they hit their shots for a large part of the year. Their best this year was as good as any other teams. Their worst was pretty damn bad. That's what happens when you rely on 3 point shooting.
He'd win just like LeBron is doing now man stop it. LeBron had the same exact track record as Melo before he ran to south beach. That's a fact that can't be disputed. Melo has never played with talent the likes of Wade and Bosh. Another indisputable fact. He doesn't have to be LeBron or be better than LeBron in order to win with talent like Wade and Bosh. Before he got to NY, he played in the best conference in the NBA against the best. It's no shame in him being the sole star on his team, losing to the likes of the CHAMPIONSHIP Lakers and Spurs. If you gave Melo, Wade & Bosh they'd win. A gold medal in something FIBA related.
NBA - jury is STILL out on Melo in the post season. He's got one of the worst track records of current players. This obviously started before his time in NY.
As it's been said over and over...he's not Lebron.
I honestly don't know the type of player, or players that would thrive playing with Melo.
If Steve Nash said he wanted to play for a white coach y'all would be calling for his head
Damn this must of been the 50th hypothetical situation you brought up, please just stop

You don't think the roster is a mess, but yet you admit that you're a flawed team? OK, chief.
There is little-to-no flexibility and we're probably looking at their ceiling. Things in NY are a mess. Whether you can admit that or not, that's beyond me.
I'll ask you again.because your preference to black women is summed up by them being black. and your preference against other women is that they aren't black. how is this not prejudicial
Would what be my "unfavorable" opinion about non black women?
So Duncan/Garnett wouldn't thrive around him...Chris Paul wouldn't thrive around him or D.Will or Westbrook. Get the **** out of here with that clownishness. Anyone who can shoot as well as Melo can when he has someone to penetrate and kick to him will play well with other elite talent ie see Chauncy Billups, the only other really good player that Melo has really played with at an elite level.

Heat went to the finals the first year the big 3 were together breh@ 70 games over three years being time to develop chemistry. It took the HEAT THREE YEARS OF BEING TOGETHER TO DEVELOP CHEMISTRY!!!! THREE YEARS!!! Amar'e doesn't practice he doesn't play, and when he does its for like twenty minutes. He hasn't been on the court. That isn't a real judge of time at all man. That's is just so asinine beyond belief. Maybe it wouldn't have ever worked but it never happened because Amar'e has been MIA. He has played 70 of 246 games. That's a joke if you think you can make a fair assessment with that. Chemistry is built by playing with each other every day over the course of a long time, see the Heat, see early Shaq/Kobe, see Michael Bulls.
Your definition of a mess is different than mine. Is this team ever going to win a championship/ECF finals? No. But only one team does every year. The suns/raptors/Minnesota, those teams qualify as a mess to me. The Knicks are flawed and in a ****** position but going to the playoffs I don't think you can call that a mess when you go to the ECF.
that...they...aren't...black...
Aren'y you a Washington wizards fan you KNOW first hand what a disaster of a roster is. The knicks are a team that aren't going to be able to win a ring for the next two years they will be top 3 in their conference how is that a mess?
On top of that they will have shumps Bird Rights, J.R signed for pretty cheap, and a HUGE amount of Cap space open in 2015 for them to sign whichever other star they want and to get melo back. So although they aren't a championship contender they are in a much better space than 80% of the teams in the L
