OFFICIAL LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 2024-2025 SEASON THREAD

We switch way to easily...

Been saying it for about 2 years now

Chris Paul's technical killed our momentum. Then again it was a travel. Great look for JJ at the end there.

Lot's of terrible plays down the end. Jamal with an off-ball foul. then a terrible turnover later. CP dribbled out of bounds with Dirk on him. Etc. Just another example of us sucking in clutch situations.

... and when are Blake and Doc going to figure out that him trying to back a guy down with multiple dribbles is not a good play in clutch situations. Limits his options, makes doubles easier and refs will only call the most egregious fouls, especially when he's being guarded by smaller guys.

He needs to get the ball where he can face up, either make a quick move to the basket or shoot the J. The more dribbling and thinking he has to do, the worse it goes for him-usually.

Just saw Bleacher Report article saying Blake is becoming open to exploring other teams in free agency. There was no attribution for it though.

I wouldn't blame him for thinking about it. Not that he doesn't have some flaws in his game, but the way the team is constructed and plays may be holding him back some. He was at his best and most consistent when CP was out. The two of them have very little chemistry on the court right now. I would get him at least thinking about whether he might be better elsewhere.

Over the last couple of months, we've gotten good Jamal Crawford.

Really good actually.

Hopefully we get this Jamal Crawford for the playoffs.

Good win though. Quality performances all around, with Jamal the standout.

That Jazz present some favorable match-ups for Jamal, so I think he'll continue to perform well against them in the playoffs.

Looking at the Jazz schedule, I sincerely doubt we're going to play Utah in the first round. If we do, i'm almost positive we're going to have homecourt.

Yeah, Jazz have a much tougher schedule the rest of the way than we do. I hope they stay in 5 though. Rather have them in the 1st round than OKC just because Russ.

Although I'm low on the Thunder I would agree with your sentiment. If nothing else, precedence. If you have to play someone in the playoffs, ideally I would like to think that you would wanna play a team that you've taken 17 out of 19 against.

Plus, the Thunder I think got better at the Deadline and they have some athletes with length on the perimeter to blow up a lot of what we like to do with JJ between Oladipo, Grant, Roberson, etc.

My main reservations with the team come from how atrocious we've been in games that are close in the 4th quarter. If we pull out of couple more of those before the playoffs, I'll feel more optimistic going into the post-season.

Uh huh.

It's become borderline comical how bad we are in games that are close late.

this team is doomed. JJ doesnt wanna play for LAC anymore
blake is now open to testing free agency
cp3 will test free agency as well

this team just doesnt seem to gel well.

cp3 balls out but his attitude towards other players is cancerous

reportedly, no locker room cohesion whatsoever. defensive effort is non existent.

I don't know what to label it exactly, but something definitely is off with this squad. They haven't played well since before the all-star break. They win sometimes because they still have some very talented players, but they do not look like a together, cohesive squad most of the time.

If we get Utah in round 1, I think we'll win and then get rolled in round 2. If we drop to the 6 seed, I think the Rockets will take us out pretty easily.

As far as being doomed in the future, I don't think I'd go that far. Given all the money each stands to leave on the table if they leave, I have a hard time seeing both CP and Blake bolting. And if we keep just one of the two, I think we'll be ok. We'll still have DJ and Austin also. Plus, we have an owner now who actually cares about winning and a 5 year track record showing that being a star player for the Clippers can open a lot of doors in terms of endorsements, etc.

Honestly wouldn't even be mad if Blake left us for the Celtics. Good team, good young coach and in the East. He really could be the piece they need to pass up the Cs. And I think him and Horford would compliment each other better than him and DJ do.

But if he leaves us for the Lakers, I will punch a wall and then declare Blake dead to me.

So I was at the game today. Section 111, great seats. I almost left early in the 4th but I remembered who we were. Nothing short of amazing.

JJ and CP3 need to be gone. Would rather trade CP3 but I wouldn't mind seeing him go somewhere and get himself a ring. Would hate to see Blake go. I think we can build a great team around him and utilize his passing more.

At this point, nothing's off the table anymore
