That was ugly.
Not even Kobe dominating on offense could make up for all the points the Lakers were giving up. I mean letting the Grizzlies drive to the basket time aftertime and even rewarding them with alot of 3 point plays off those drives.
And the while the defensive effort (or lack of it) is the Lakers problem...their offense right now is either Kobe scoring till he gets others involved and thatmeans getting the ball to players who chuck up three's. Its just alot prettier when Gasol or Bynum is down low with the potential to score that free'sup the outside shooters then just the shooters passing around the outside till the clock runs down and they have to jack up another 3.
Very frustrating and rotten way to start my weekend.

i think you're pissed right now but sasha has been one of the team's main guns off the bench. he was huge during that run the lakers had. luke sucks so i agree with you. but sasha just had a bad game. outside of kobe and dfish, he has the most balls on the team.

People, Walton made a dumb move at the end, but please stop specifically pointing him out as if he had to do extra with their performance. Even with all ofthose attempted threes, if they get some stops they win. Problem was they have no depth at the big man positions, and that Lowry was blowing by anyone guardinghim. People on here are funny trying to pin this on specific guys. Farmar and Machine have been nothing more than turnstyles of late.

Sometimes, I wonder what Phil says to the team during timeouts. Why couldn't he change up the defense a bit since our defense has been not existent, andnot allow so many points in the paint, and or why not tell the Lakers to ATTACK the weak zone of the grizzlies and not take 45 freaking 3-pointers? Does hecontinue to let them jack up shots?

These last two games have been terrible. Even with D-Fish with a tear of his tendon, LO sick, Bynum, Gasol, and Ariza still injuried, and Kobe's pinky andankle, there is NO excuse to lose to the Bobcats and the Grizzlies.

Wizards are going to be tough on Sunday. Hope the Lakers can pull that one out.

-Those who blame EVERY LOSS on Luke Walton. He made a @!$$%# decision on the last play, but that's not what lost the game. He didn't lose the game, nordid his play lose the game. He had a decent performance, but defense and lack of depth were the reasons for the recent losses. Lamar's flu didn't helpmatters either.

I agree with you Pac. I don't want Luke anywhere near a clutch situation. Thing is, he won't be in there when the Lakes get fully healthy soI'm not worrying too much. However Luke gets the blame for every damn thing. Forget the fact that Farmar and Sash and Fish haven't played defense for amonth or so.

sf:trevor/vlad- depends whether you want 3-point shooting or defense
pf:gasol- natural position, 20 and 8 player...
c:bynum- double-double and shot blocking...

how long u been on these boards? there's been cricicism for this guy ever since the lakers traded butler, i appreciate whatever good heprovides when the lakers win games but i constantly find myself criticizing the guy, i dont read phx posts but i doubt marion's ever received criticism forhis effort (or lack of) the way LO has

I believe you remember when lamar odom had that interview and he mentioned the death of his son...and that he felt "better," since in the span of 2years he finally got a break..something along those lines and it showed IMO...also when he was with Miami he put in work...Clipper days also (I live in LA andI remember when it was Miles, olowokandi, piatkowski etc.) and ever since then I felt he was a very highly skilled SF/PF...and to add to that, people wereexpecting Lamar to become what Scottie was to jordan (reason for the GREAT CRITICISM) and those high expectations kind of put some pressure on him, howeverduring the playoffs STATSICALLY lamar has always come through
