Rename the proper sized png carrier_logo don't add png to it.

Sure thing...

1. In root explorer navigate to the system>app>systemui.apk
2. Make a copy of the systemui.apk file and paste it your sd card.
3. Rename the systemui.apk to systemui.zip
4. Long press and extract all.
5. Go to the extracted folder and navigate to the Res>drawable-hdpi folder.
6. Here is where you will find the carrier_logo.png file.
7. Take whatever logo you would like to replace the current one with and rename it to carrier_logo.png
8. Overwrite the one in the drawable_hdpi folder.
9. Now go back to the systemui folder and long press the folder.
10. zip this folder.
11. Go to the zipped folder.
12. Long press and rename the folder from systemui.zip back to systemui.apk
13. Long press and move the file back to system>app, paste the folder. Make sure to press the mount r/w up top so you are able to paste the folder.
14. Once the folder has been pasted, your status bar will immediately force close.
15. Reboot your phone, you will have no status bar at this point. Go into root explorer and navigate back to the systemui.apk
16. Long press the folder and change the permissions to match everything else. Something like rw-r--r--
17. Once the permissions have successfully changed. Reboot your phone.
18. Make sure in extended settings custom carrier is checked and custom text is left blank. You should now have a custom carrier logo. Sorry this guide is a little lengthy. Hope it helps. Just a reminder, I am not responsible if you break, destroy, dropkick, disembowel or chuck norris your phone or it commits suicide... enjoy.

Computerless method...google root explorer apk

On the computer rename the theme.mtz file to theme.zip
Make sure MIUI extended settings is working, the Google logo should be in the top left corner on your phone.

Open the zip

Find the com.android.systemmiui file

Find the res/drawable-hdpi

Drag and drop the logo named carrier_logo do not add .png. It should just be carrier_logo and not carrier_logo.png. It changes to .png by adding that .png you'll have carrier_logo.png.png

Exit out of the files and place the zip onto your sd card and import it into themes.

I use winrar with not problems
