as a consumer, yes. they more than likely had the tech to do so, but didn't, which from a business standpoint is genius.
just adding enough that they know will get a good amount of people to either ditch their old Ipad and upgrade, or like me have this become their first Ipad.
 
Since this is an Ipad thread I should post some new apps coming to iPad note these apps are not iPad 2 optimized.

16gb vs 32gb
no sd slot vs sd slot

lower resolution vs higher resolution

wack camera vs better camera

no flash vs flash

ios vs android

icons vs widgets

i think the additional features justifies the 100 dollar price increase

but i still think 350 for a refurb ipad1 is the best value

next year they will have quadcore arms and possibly a retina display

one thing i am ticked of about is the additional cost for storage increase

flash memory is chump change but they charge so much extra from 16gb to 32gb

well at least xoom has an sd slot

At this rate I am just going to patiently wait since every year something new releases.

Once they get these things right is when I'll make the jump....until then my 2.5lb 13" laptop will suffice.

ipad 3 should be a beast since this basically follows apple's release strategy.

still waiting on a cheaper xoom to get into the whole tablet thing.

also, even though the slimmer design would be great in terms of weight. im a fan of the original ipad's design more.

Is there a side to side comparison between the Ipad2 and 1 anywhere? I want to see if there is a major difference in the specs
