Yeah if the ISI aint simping from a simple standpoint I'm sure he believes his country and America are suppose to be allies and sees it as a good thing to remain allies. He doesn't see the advantage of this prisoner exchange or helping out Haqqani.

It's quite possible the other chick is just plain dirty and not just putting the screws to the CIA but also a traitor to her country. It'll come down to the guy in charge though, whether he was in or it or completely unaware. Cold blooded if he was in on it since he had lunch/dinner with Saul in an earlier ep talking about he owed Saul one like they were old friends.

Lockhart has so much hubris for someone who hasn't done anything but make things worse.

Great episode.

i was waiting this whole ep for someone to ask carrie exactly what "meds" she is on, or if its just known that shes bipolar?

even worse was them having that conversation and passing notes like right in the embassy in front of everybody 

 

really thought saul was gonna commit that for a sec 

cant wait till that diplomat finds out her husband is a traitor 

it seem like all she tryna do is take over the negotiation so she can take all the credit for bringing back the fmr chief

like unless the plan is just to say whatever to get saul and then drone strike them all once the exchange is made?

what did the pakistani lady get texted in the meeting tho, that saul escaped or that they knew where he was? 

and saul, after being beaten, and hanging himself (w the risk of dying), to kill a man, then escape, walk 20 miles and then contemplate suicide for real, all to be captured again 

like why couldnt the guy at the store just smuggle saul to a rendezvous somehow?

bruh, that episode was great. Saul with the feels... smh. really glad they know about the douche husband now, shows been consistent this season.

So far this has easily been the best season since the first IMO.

Although I have problems with procedural issues when thinking in terms of real world application, I'm cognisant this is a TV show, not the real world.

I think Khan is helping because he doesn't like the Taliban element in his country. Really who would want terrorists back into their country.

Lockhart is such a doofus. I actually LOL'd when he said, “Transparency, teamwork … and f**k, there was another one, but I forgot what it was”.

& the exchange between he & the ambassador -

Martha: “I’m a diplomat. It’s my job.”

Lockhart: “To eat s**t?”

Martha: “To suck it up.”

also loved quinn just walking out on carrie at the end, leave her to feel sorry for herself 

at the beginning of the season she was the drone queen, it was all laughs in the war room

now its all somberness and lies 

saul like a damn gi joe how he killed that guard, but saul too important to leave only one guard w him 

waiting to see the isi chick and the bearded isi hitman start puttin in work

The rest of the Islamabad command ops didn't know what time it was a couple of Eps back... Carrie & Saul knew the dillio.. Should've dropped the bomb right then & there when they had the chance. When you're in that field, that's what you signed up for.

If homeland let Saul do it, man that would have been jaw dropping.

Lockhart is tolerable and funny this season.

So what were Farrah and Max doing? Went home?

And I guess it also answered my question from last week regarding that ISI guy... looks like he is one of the good guys.  Interesting how he gave up Dennis, but at the same (understandably) didn't give up the ISI chick.  But damn, her smug smile makes me 

...  

I might have missed it, but what happened to Virgil?  

Looks like they'll ultimately save Saul, but his relationship with Carrie will be ruined forever. 

EDIT ~ Check that... just saw the preview... ok, so maybe Saul really might not make it...

My relative just sent this to me... It was a Mandy Patinkin appearance on LIVE with Kelly and Michael from earlier this year. They reunited him with his first kiss & later his college girl friend... He was shocked as ish...





Hard to believe that he had such a bad rep of being so hard to work with...
