stayed up till 315 wrapping up season 2. :eek at that ending...my body is too ready for march 31. true blood needs to ****.

why joffrey isn't dead yet angers me to no end.

is there any point to reading the books if you've watched season 1 and 2?

It must be weird for him in real life. So many fans must go up to him and tell him how much of a turd he is. The actress who plays Sansa said he's a really nice guy in real life.

I would say book 1 no because the tv show did a very accurate rendition.
but book 2 yes since so much was changed

This.

And from what I've heard season 3 will have mainly material from book 3 but even stuff from book 4 and 5 in small doses

Negative

Season 3 will cover half, maybe a little more of book 3

I'll find the video but D&D have said that this season will take elements from the first half of Book 3 (probably up until the R.W.) and that there will be material that readers will recognize from a Feast for Crows and a Dance with Dragons.

You can't do Theon's storyline without delving a little bit into a Dance with Dragons.

Good point... One of the only story lines like that. But won't they mostly just be filling in the blanks? Not necessarily hitting 4&5...

I'd like to see that clip if you can find it

Yeah filling in the blanks. Obviously, they're not jumping out of order I don't think.

It wouldn't surprise me if
coldhands

shows up this season

It's funny you mention that... I went on a preview video/pic/article binge yesterday and saw a certain photo that made me think that as well. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the exact point the season ended.

I heard there's going to be an exhibit in NYC from March 28 to April 3. Hopefully I can check it out.

Hey do yall think had Ned Stark went forward with Little Finger's suggestion of taking the iron throne and becoming king and protector of the realm and exposing the Lannisters that Little Finger would've actually backed him in the throne room instead of betraying him?

That's just been one thing where I've been thinking is this cuz he's just a sneaky little bastard that can't be trusted or did he have a possible game plan had that went down? (Yeah I know it doesn't really matter much right now).

Ned could never play the game nor did he want the throne. Littlefinger doesn't want the throne either he just wants to manipulate those on and around the throne to elevate his status and economic gains.

So to answer your question no Littlefinger would not have betrayed him immediately but if Ned ever did something to spurn Littlefinger or if Littlefinger could get him out of the way to get Cat in his arms he would do it.

I'm trying to talk my girl into going the 29th since we'll both be off that day.

Hybrid/Wiley:

I'm guessing if they encounter Coldhands, Jon's last scene would be escaping to the Wall? And I get the feeling they'll combine Dany taking Yunkai and Meeren in one shot.

so does Melo watch GOT or something? dude was promoting the show in a commercial.

^I noticed the same thing :lol I thought they were NBA commercials until I realized it was just Melo promoting. It'd be funny as hell to see him show up in S3 following Khaleesi or as a wildling.

I know Ned wasn't built for this. Him not playing the game was painfully obvious. The whole thing with Cat is what I was thinking of, for some reason he's infatuated with her and I always figured he was angling for Ned's death regardless.

:rollin. That would be crazy if he got a cameo or something.

Yeah, Ned's a simple man. He gives no dambs about wanting to rule. Remember they talked about how he could've taken the throne instead of Robert many years ago. Renley was willing to back Ned anyway so he'd have a decent size force. Baelish would've stayed in the background like usual. Not sure how Varys would've fit into the equation. He always has his own agenda too.
