I know but I didnt think any fantasy series was that special. I even think LotR and The Hobbit are garbage. I would probably like em a lot more if it wasnt for Peter Jackson, a director who would be out of a job if it was up to me. He is just complete trash. Even if it were done by an amazing director, it still wouldnt be GoT level.

I just cant imagine a fantasy franchise topping GoT. Whatever you think is second best, would still be lightyears behind GoT to me.

I almost missed out on this show because live action fantasy franchises have been garbage imo. But I have always loved fantasy video games. Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda, The Elder Scrolls, etc.

The Hobbit and the LotR are great to me but I loved the books and hold a special place since I read them in high school right as the movies came out.

However, GoT to me is better just because the content is much more mature. The style where each chapter is from the perspective of another character allows the read to delve into the psyche of the character and how they think and why so. You find out that what seems as a bad person, Tyrion, is truly a complex individual that has a great heart. He does what he needs to do but he isn't about killing everything in his way. I'm happy that HBO took their chance and it wasn't put on regular TV because it wouldn't be allowed to be as raw as it is.

I'm a perv and like violence so GOT is the goods to me.

Plenty of scenes in GoT where I catch my hand on the D :lol

Margaery is likely my favorite character besides Tyrion... She's a certified boss *****... Word to Sasha Banks...

Don't judge me but it grew when Margaery was in Tommen's room being all seductive and ****.

I almost broke my nofap streak

The best sexual scene is when Tyrion buys a hooker for dude and one of them stretches her legs behind her ears...... backwards

The realist part of the show was wen the FBI dude was giving a description of the Serial Killer and was describing McNulty to the T. Lmao had me rolling

I'm watching Ned die as we speak. Smh. One of the hardest things to watch. The Starks take so many Ls

Re-watching season, how did the guy (the one who survived the white walkers) from the very beginning go from beyond the wall to near winterfell? Wouldn't he need to go through the wall to reach winterfell?

He probably did. It's not hard to leave the wall if need be. Jon Snow left in the middle of the night mid season

I must've missed it, but what happened to the guy that had been brought back to life a bunch of times? Think his name was Berric or something like that.

Yeah I went there, but it doesn't say what happened to him after selling Gendry to that witch chick in season 3. I guess that was it for that character.

So that's basically all we know as of the end of book 5. Who knows what GRRM has in store for him in book 6 and 7 if anything. As the show previews for season 5, characters finally have their stories somewhat intertwined. So I think that we'll touch on some book 6 content that GRRM disclosed to them. But season 5 does seem to deviate further from the book. Jaime traveling to the south is one thing that def didn't happen in the books.

Thanks. I try not to go to that Wiki. Looked up one name a while back, now I'm itching for the show to make it happen for that character.

Are there more old gods than the trees? Or can we assume that if they arent talking about the trees they are talking about the faith of the seven?

Also why would Little Finger want Harrenhal? He was offended that Tyrion screwed him over when Tyrion hatched a plan to see who would be loyal. Harrenhal just seems like a terrible place to want to be in charge of

After reading the book I don't feel sorry for Theon at all. His arrogance caused him all his future suffering at the hands or Ramsay Bolton, the sad part is that he knew that too.

Old gods kinda run in the nature so the trees are a part of it. Think of the weirwood trees as altar, as a sacred thing of worship.

Old gods =/= Faith of the seven. The latter is like one god with seven sides/aspects: Father, Mother, Maiden, Crone etc. It is also more dominant throughout Westeros than the old gods.

I'm not to sure about Petyr and Harrenhal :(

Harrenhal would have been a come up for Littlefinger... It's just simply not as high as he wanted to climb on the ladder that is chaos... Just a stepping stone...

Harrenhall was once the greatest castle in Westeros before kings landing was built.
