mad men sucks tho.
mad men sucks tho.
Breaking Bad was pitched, some people got fired at HBO after the show blew up for passing on it. My co-workers wife works in their headquarters and said it isn't a fun time when shows blow up on other networks after being passed by HBO. Heads roll
Contrary to popular belief, I don't think that Breaking Bad is all that. It's good, but it's not eye opening like people make it out to be. People call it the GOAT, but it has nothing on The Wire to me. It's probably because I can relate to the setting of The Wire while I can't to Albuquerque and the whole Crystal addiction and suburb life.
Breaking Bad and Walking Dead on HBO would have been
If Mad Men had been on hbo then we might've not seen the greatness that is Jon Hamm as Don Draper. I hate how amc breaks their seasons into two parts though. So lame.
Man them first couple of episodes of the 2nd season of the Wire almost had me call quits
I am not all the way through The Wire and I agree that it is way better than Breaking Bad. I hate that long *** intro tho. Also season 3 so far aint as good as the first two imo
Like I said, I dont think breaking bad knew what direction it was headed when the show first started. To me it feels like the show did a complete 180 at one point.
I think Walking Dead is hot garbage but on HBO it might've been good. That's just my opinion tho.
I dont think Jon Hamm is the only person who could've pulled off that character imo.
I called it quits. The first season was ok but nothing spectacular IMO. I think I got to like episode 7 of season 2 and was done.Man them first couple of episodes of the 2nd season of the Wire almost had me call quits
I seriously don't know how yall don't enjoy Season 2 of the wire ..add so much depth to the series as a whole
The Wire season 4 is probably my favorite single season of TV ever.
It's a travesty that a show of its caliber never won any Emmy's while a show like BB used to regularly sweep them. Guess it was too real for themMcNulty gave even less dambs that season. One of my favorite tv characters. The Wire season 4 is probably my favorite single season of TV ever.
It's weird thinking about tv shows that aired before twitter, sites like av club, reddit, and streaming services. It's a show that should've gotten more attention from the mainstream when it was airing.
I actually liked season 5 for the way everything really came full circle but yeah McNulty's story took a way unexpected turn that seasonSeason 5 is the only flaw on the show. McNulty went full ****** in that season
Boardwalk Empire was not a selling point for them. No one bought HBO subscriptions to watch Boardwalk. This and True Blood are their first true bangers since Sopranos. TBH its their fault. The guy who wrote Sopranos season 5 and 6 pitched Mad Men to em first and they turned it down and that was a HIT.
HBO should pray to basedgod that Westworld is also a big hit cuz this aint extending to 10 seasons.
No? Man I love that show. Brody's family is annoying, but I've loved all other story lines. Joint is too tough.I watch Homeland too but it definitely shouldn't be on a GOAT TV list.
I have to catch up.
No? Man I love that show. The whole Brody family thing was a bit annoying, but I've loved all other story lines. Joint is too tough.
Others care to chime in on it? Maybe I'm the only stan.
