Prequel. I think this is when the Targaryen’s came from Valyria to Westeros and took **** over. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

House of the Dragon takes place about 170 years before the events of Games of Thrones during the Targaryen reign of the seven kingdoms. It'll cover the Targaryen civil war that ultimately ends up destroying most of the Targaryen house and kills most of their dragons. Expect a lot of infighting, incest and dragon battles.

Was super late to game of thrones

started watching the show a few weeks after the series ended. Watched entire series in 2 weeks.

I went from dreaming about the show to so disappointed I can’t even look at the pictures of it. Got reminded when the score randomly came up on my playlist
