i wish Theon slit that dudes throat while he had the chance
that scene was too tense, I wanted him to kill him too but now with king joff dead, he is my new favorite villain.  Kind of hope Theon gets his revenge, though I think he is to the point of no return.

I keep hearing that Theon's torture is way worse in the book...I may have to google that but can anybody shed some light?
cersei?

tywin?

little finger?

Not any kind of spoiler but I'll put it there anyway.

What Ramsay did was take the skin off of fingers and toes and made Theon beg him to cut them off before he did. Ramsay also breaks a lot of his teeth because he hates his smile :lol :{

Oh yeah, and on spoilers...I mostly avoided em til South Park did it to me. But with the whole "who did it"...it's kinda ****** up?

I mean, there's no good way to talk about it. Half of the audience def knows. And yeah the ep gave clues, but people are running in like that's an excuse to spoil. A hint =/= the writers/director telling us. Even if it was something easy to guess, I don't get acting like people are dummies if they don't wanna pour concrete on their theories or feeling about it. Some people just wanna let the show play out, and keep the mystery for themselves.

Cuz even if you say the show "told" us who did it, why don't you just let them? Cuz the show "told" us Ned was gonna die, when they let him get speared, and had him hobbling around all sickly. They "told" us bad **** was gonna go down at the Frey wedding when Cat and the Blackfish were talking about oath-breaking and how awful Walder was.

Congratulations...you know what's going to happen on Game of Thrones. Let it be okay if other people don't.

I know this isn't the point of your rant but maybe one of the takeaways should be that GRRM doesn't play around and if he tells you something's going to happen then it's going to happen. This isn't Lost or The Following.

**** is real in westeros.

Banish ‘Game of Thrones’ Spoilers with This Chrome Extension
Apr 15, 2014

No, I don’t want to hear about the #purplewedding. I understand that it was a shocker and that King Joffrey was somehow involved, but that’s all I want to know about the latest episode of Game of Thrones. That’s because I’m still on Season 3 and haven’t even learned what this Red Wedding business is all about.

The morning after an episode of a popular show airs is the worst time to be on the Internet if you missed it. We’ve all been there in the final season of Breaking Bad and your Facebook friends wouldn’t shut up about it. Or when in the season finale of American Horror Story and they couldn’t stop retweeting each other.

Is there a way to be on Twitter and Facebook and not get spoiled? Why, yes, there is! Silencer is a nifty little Chrome extension that will banish all spoilers to the grim cells of Harrenhal. Once you install it, simply browse to Twitter or Facebook and type in the words you want to mute from your feed. You have to be specific — Game of Thrones is different from #gameofthrones, for example. Once you’re done, test it out by searching your social networks for the term or terms you muted and watch them magically dissappear from the results (they do appear for a split second before vanishing, so you might still want to be a little careful).

To take the pain out of manually muting hundreds of potential spoilers, Silencer provides handy Mute Packs, which means that you can censor all terms related to entire shows at once. I’ve currently muted Arrested Development, Mad Men, and True Blood. Because I’m a laggard.

But you don’t even have to stick to TV shows because Silencer will mute anything you type into it. Sick of a friend’s updates but don’t want to unfriend them? Mute them! Tired of everyone freaking out about Heartbleed? Scrub it from your feeds!

On the flip side, Silencer only works with Twitter and Facebook, which is a shame.

Started the series on Thursday.....

Can't believe this snake Walder. :{

He's catching the fade on sight if we ever cross paths.

Walder isn't anywhere near as much of a snake as Bolton. Rob betrayed Fray first not that justies what he did just gave him a reason to. Bolton on the other hand was a pure snake and just did it to get ahead and because of family history.

You definitely get that feel that it was the Tyrells, I just don't see what they have to gain from killing Joff considering his aire is not in Margery.

i dont see why they would kill him though, like you said. they wouldnt really gain anything ^^

I'm willing to wait and see :lol

Whoever did it would obviously have something to gain by taking such a huge risk as to kill the king.. especially when his family hasn't been shy about killing in the past :lol

No one would risk having their entire family wiped out without something to gain.

we will see! im super excited about this season as i did not see that happening so soon.

Why are people looking for reason for why this family or that family would kill him. Everyone in Westeros thought Joffrey should be dead with the exception of his family. Looking at him now when he is a kid, imagine what he will become when he is an adult and actually controlling things.

Aside from future motives which we may or may not hear in coming episodes, regardless of personal gain one motive for anyone is that he would no longer be king. In terms of risk, whoever did it would be extremely careful as to not get caught, or simply luck into the situation with Tyrion there being humiliated while handling the cup and having a history of threatening the king multiple times. Tyrion wrong place wrong time, but that situation made it very easy to kill Joffrey and keep suspicion on one person.

Just rewatched the episode again. So where is Sansa going? When Olenna was speaking to her she said something about visiting the gardens in her homeland. So is that where Dontos is taking her?

Your going to have to ask Sansa Olenna or Dontos yourself.

Or take spoilers.
Assuming it follows the book she will be headed to the Vale.

Probably should just wait until next week though.

This is a discussion thread, why wouldn't we speculate.

It's not the speculation of why that's the issue, its the fact that some people are acting like there was no reason to kill him and are shocked that someone would want him dead.

I would guess if she actually is leaving kings landing she'd be getting sent to her aunt in the vale. Isn't that where the hound is trying to take arya as well?

next ep prediction
sansa will run to the godswood and decide to stay, just as littlefinger rturns to kings landing for the royal funeral and anointing of tommen
