Can someone explain why Boltons bastard child Ramsey let Theon loose in the beginning to run away, then brought him back again? What was the point of that?

I took it as him just pushing the torture that much further by giving Theon a glimmer of hope and snatching it away. Similar to when he had the two woman tease him just before mutilating him.

I am not one to enjoy Lord of the Rings or shows of that type but GOT is crack. The characters, story line, acting and production are just simply incredible!
