Well Greenwood is back together with her. The father was really pushing her to get back with him .

None of these footballers will go to jail. Sad for women

Missed the story, could somebody please link me to an extensive breakdown of it?

Pretty much what initially happened, his girlfriend posted images of her beaten up face claiming Greenwood beat her and a recording of him that sounds like he was demanding sex even though she didn't want to implying rape or an assault.
I don't know what happened between then and the case being dropped now.

not a lot you can do if the victim doesn’t want to cooperate with police/prosecutors.

Question now is which club will take on that baggage. I wouldn’t want it to be my club

I think United will.

Their fans have been yearning for Greenwood even when it was looking bad.

I don’t think there is a chance they bring him back at all, would be a PR disaster. Doesn’t really matter what the fans want at that point, it’s a sponsorship/financial liability.

I can see a club lower down the pyramid taking him, but I don’t think a EPL team wants that headache

We’ll see.

I just won’t be surprised if they take the academy kid back.

I don't see Greenwood returning to United, but he can make a name back for himself at some other prem club *ahem* Everton.

I always find it funny when Clubs or Sports Leagues are like.

“We’re conducting our own investigation now…”

Na.

All they’re doing is contacting every crisis management/PR firm on the planet to figure out what to do.

That's crazy even after audio evidence is right there. Well, I don't know if it was him in the audio. I am deaf so it's hard to recognize voice sounds

What are your thoughts, United fans?

Would you welcome him back to the club?
I think he's of that age where he'll get the chance to continue his career with all charges being dropped but I don't think it'll be with United nor should it be imo.

Been a lot of effort put in for a sort of cultural 'reset' at the club this season. Don't know if having the potential circus his return would bring is gonna be in line with what ETH is trying to build.

I still think think he'll end up at another big club eventually though if released. His talent is gonna have certain clubs more than willing to overlook his situation whether right or wrong.

We already have clubs looking passed very similar situations of their own right now in favor of the on the pitch impact they get. Dirty game but that's the reality of it.

Clubs have already shown they'll accept the bad PR if it helps them results wise though.

We've legit been seeing it with a very high profile case all season already yet it's been crickets from the club involved and media at large really.

United at least suspended him and took him out of the team the second the story came to light, no matter the hit they took on the pitch.
