They dropped 100 on someone as raw as Darwin. Bellingham is the real deal,English and still very young. They also missed out on Tchouameni so I think they’re not going to let Bellingham slip away too.
Also RM seems to have tweaked their transfer policy to not engage in bidding wars and to focus more on players who only want to play for them to have a better position when negotiating the fee. Bellingham seems more than happy to go to Liverpool. He can also have a bigger role and captain the club one day. In RM he’d be more one of the guys.

They did after losing Mané but Bellingham's gonna go for a record fee by all accounts and the fees being floated sound like something mainly the likes of P$G/Citeh could afford.
It's why you guys are starting to distance yourselves.
Outside of financial hang ups, everything's pointing towards the Scousers though. Apparently even his fam prefer that move

Still not sure BVB would be able to get what they're asking for from a non-City/P$G club. Even Real can't afford it.
Would love to hear Klopp's answers though if it happens after years of bemoaning the state of transfers and clubs spending insane money on players.

I’d say Real can afford it for this specific deal. In the long term however it’s not a sustainable model for them as a non-oil/sugar daddy club to recruit top talents via bidding wars. The model of make it clear to your club you only want Madrid and we’ll negotiate from there however is one they can sustain.
