I get that everyone loves Dani Alves in the lockerroom and coaching staff. I remember how much everyone gravitated toward him in that Neymar doc when they showed the Brazil footage. Seems like a great dude honestly. But yeah i would think there would be better options for them out there.
Yeah, if they wanted him at the WC bring him on as a coach, not a player.

I had high hopes for Brazil before today but now, the defense looks like food. Didn't learn from 2014. Thiago gets hurt and the team implodes and he's older now which makes it even more of a possibility. Sandro and Danilo are suspect and it's obvious if you've seen Juventus games. Telles shouldn't even be on the team. Mediocre at united.
It's a good thing they've got a defensive minded coach who builds his tems from the back to offset that. They've had a terrific defensive record under Tite.

They only conceded 5 times total during their 17 WC qualifiers

We always analyze these lists as if every single player will get playing time when in reality only a little more than half of the guys on the list will see the field at all

Yup, I mean some guys are taken for the experience or what they provide off the pitch. 2002, Kaka barely played. 1994 R9 didn't play a minute, 2002 I don't think Caniggia played a minute for Argentina, but I do remember him getting a red on the bench haha.

26 spots is too much anyway you could do what you want with the last slot and that player shouldn’t get any playing time anyway.
