This is an individual award decided by journalists. We aren’t talking about a strange decision or call made in a league match or cup competition, this is the BdO. We put way too much stock into this award, in my opinion. France Football lost all credibility with me when they didn’t give the award out in 2020, despite the fact that football had resumed and everyone finished their respective competitions that year.

Yea, it'll be tough but world cup 2026 will give him a shot, if he can put together a good performance and Brazil turns it around in the next two years.
Also, no way all three of him Mbappe, Rodrygo will be at Madrid next year. One of them will leave, most likely Rodrygo, but moving to another league might give him a better shot.

This is a journalist award that gets votes from countries all over the world. Google the votes by country/journalist; a lot of countries voted for Vini with the most points, while the ones who gave Rodri the most had Vini or Bellingham right behind him. Spain’s journalist from AS actually voted for Vini with the most points, for example. There wasn’t some massive conspiracy in favor of Rodri; it was close overall
