I seem to be in the minority about the Wii U but Nintendo is having a pre-E3 broadcast on their site to talk about the hardware 6PM EST/ 3PM PDT.

I read an interesting comment about why Nintendo wants to show of the Wii U today before E3.
They say it's maybe cause Sony or Microsoft are gonna reveal the new system and Nintendo wants to shine since they are gonna be last in the press conferences.
Part of me wants to believe the comment but the other says no cause that info would have probably leaked online a week or so ago.

This console is launching this holiday season so its very unlikely that it will bomb, if Nintendo can have Mario or one of its staple games at launch the software will sell the hardware.
