I've heard this in person @ sound comp. in Sumter,SC. I stay in Columbia.

2 guys were doing Bass Race and Paul hit 121db. from 25 feet away.

The Bass Race mic was in a FULLY sealed CVX - sunroof closed, windows shut...

No budget really. This dude wants to trade his system for my 20s...which are rotting in my garage. He played it for me and it was ridiculously loud.

It's 4 SPL 12's and 2 amps. One amp is long as *$%%...SAYS 1600 watts. The other is about half the size and SAYS 600 watts. 2 boxs and all wiresincluded.

He said he used to be in competitions. He had a mustang with like 8 of those SPLs in it.

Whats the average price for a decent 12" sub? I currently have an infinity basslink 10" in my Nissan 300zx. Its pretty decent for being small but itcould also be because my car is so small. Any recommendations for a 12" sub?

I guess I'm looking for something that knocks hard but not too much to the point that I can't hear the words. Budget? I'm not sure. Somewhere inthe middle? Not too cheap but not too expensive. I pretty much looking for an upgrade over the basslink. But these new subs might go in our new car (mostlikely 97-01 prelude).

if you upgrade the actual speakers, you can get to a point where even 150db of bass wont drown the actual music out
