They were rejected by Def Jam because they weren't going to clear all the samples Krit used on those tapes. Basically DJ was too cheap to pay for the licensing.


If you pay attention you'll notice that Live From the Underground is far less sample heavy than Krit's normal work. R4 and Krit Wuz Here used a ton of samples and LFTU only had a couple.

that's what I figured. Def Jam wasn't behind his project. He might as well have stayed indie like Spitta

Its a shame that Return Of 4Eva & 4evaNaDay were rejected by Def Jam, those were real quality projects. I thought Live From The Underground was cool, but those 2 mixtapes would've served as a much better all around debut.

April 10th though I was expecting a release around June as well, so this is perfect

Hopefully the majority of the production is from him (which is what im expecting), but if the tracks that aren't produced by him are done by 9th Wonder then

I also wouldn't mind hearing him on a Mike WiLL Made It track... I know they were in the studio a little awhile back.

How far does his catalog go back? I have krit was here and my fav song on there is hometown and moon and stars with devin the dude, it's just too smooth. But there are some other tracks on there that bang.

Children Of The World is what got me on K.R.I.T. My patna posted the video to my FB wall almost 3 years ago and the rest was history.

Get that Woodgrain Soul mixtape. A whole lotta freestyles. That one sealed the deal for me and let me know Krizzle got bars for days.

Man, first time I heard him was the krit wuz here tape. I guess I downloaded because I heard folk tweeting about it. Return of 4eva had me nodding my head, but when Country **** dropped? I was sold. Been one of my favorite new artists since.
