I'm curious if this site is legit? they currently still have a sz 7 and sz 8Anybody else order from shelf life from South Africa?
"Corporate Finance" is a broad term, each company obviously has a different culture. I'm a finance manager for a semiconductor comp with over $3 billion in annual revenue. Can I wear Jordan's to work? Sure I can. And I could care less what my colleagues within my specific finance group think. Now, if an account manager from one of our key account customers flies in from Asia sets up an on site visit to negotiate terms on a new business proposal, I'm not going to step into that meeting in shoes with patent leather or elephant print. Now, keep in mind, this is the Silicon Valley, where CEO's of multi billion dollar companies wear levi's jeans, black long sleeve shirts and new balances (think steve jobs), in other words this is NOT Wall Street, but still, I spend maybe 20% of my time in key meetings with key accounts, I'm not going to be walking around in elephant print shoes. Now the rest of the time? I could care less, but the environment and circumstances in my work place changes day by day. At the end of the day, I could get away with wearing royal 1's to a meeting, like i said before, some of the most powerful guys in the silicon valley wear new balances and jeans (i'm generalizing) to work, so I can get away with those, but patent leather and elephant print? nope. Again, I'm sharing MY EXPERIENCE in my workplace, with my responsibilities, which are different than yours. That site is only going to have TWO different sizes available.....TWO SIZES. LOL I hope some of you are one of those 2 sizes, and that you can grab one of the "couple" pairs that they have (per the owners reply to someones question on his personal twitter). Their site is not friendly to new release traffic at all. But I buy from there a lot and they have great customer service. They do one penny shipping once about every 5 weeks also. Too bad it's not happening tomorrow, could save $15.
And I just gotta laugh at the guy acting like he is too old for most Jordan's, or has outgrown most models, because he works in corporate finance. That's my field as well, and you shouldn't be wearing sneakers to work at all if you are the least bit worried about looking professional, much less narrowing it down to the models that make you look more "grown up." There are no Jordan's that you can wear in that environment if you want to look completely professional. Luckily the company I work for cares more about performance than shoe choice, so on casual Friday I always wear something from my collection. Today it was playoff 12's, and a 59 yr old grandmother that works on my floor came up to me in the hallway today and said, "Oooo, I like your shoes. They're snazzy!" Haha, she is also the controller.
O that's the site that gave all their references including NTGo back to page 75 0r 76 they have all their info
couldn't you keep a back up pair in a desk drawer or under you desk for those "surprise" visits and rock whatever you want everyday without any worries? just keep a pair of black chucks on stand by."Corporate Finance" is a broad term, each company obviously has a different culture. I love the hate for my post.
I hope the people that really want these get them.
Just sick of the restocks. A lot of people pick up from the restocks and they don't even want the shoe. They just want it for trade bait or resell purposes.
If you can't live without these shoes you either get them on release day for retail or you pay resell.
There is no such thing as second place. Either you're first or you're nothing. Just because of all these noobs they have to produce more. (I still consider my self very new to the sneaker culture.)
DARWIN
Nah sorry fam, I buy doubles and triples that I keep.what size fam, willing to part with a pair need a 9.5-10.5
Well this just makes me laugh even more. So you have a first-level position at a company that has an extremely relaxed dress code and an annual revenue 33% less than my employer, and that somehow justifies you being a jerk towards NT members of a certain age with different tastes? I was and am addressing your original post, before editing, and you came off thinking you were too good for those corny shoes because of your age and job posted above (in silicon valley, in case anyone missed that in his post)?"Corporate Finance" is a broad term, each company obviously has a different culture. Man.. I can smell my pair already lol.
I hope they come in tomorrow.
Those look like the insoles out of the Royal XVIIIs from 03
lol at me being a jerk? too good for my corny shoes? lol. i love my "corny" elephant print and patent leather shoes, that will never change. my whole point was it doesn't mesh well during some circumstances at work and it was a part of getting older and adjusting to work culture. relax buddy, its not that serious.Well this just makes me laugh even more. Cheers to your future success in silicon valley and good luck to all NTers in their quest for Royal 1's! I'd also like to know what insoles you put in your pair, seandon? I've never owned AJ18's so I wouldn't recognize the insole if they're from those. The color matches perfectly though.
