Official Air Jordan 11 Retro "Bred" - The aftermath.... No Buying/Selling/Trading

Pretty upset with SH right now. 

I ordered two pairs and received one. I emailed them to let them know that they sent 1/2 of the shipment. They got back to me this morning, and told me they'd ship out a pair today, that they were sorry. 

My issue is that I haven't received a shipment confirmation, meanwhile dudes that bought kicks on the restock did. 

That's shady. I have nothing but love for SH, but the way this whole Jordan situation has been shaking out lately leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Hopefully they come correct and get me the product. 

Anyone else deal with stuff like this?

Well he asked a question that is discussed in 95% of the posts on the last 400 pages...specifically the last 15 pages from this morning all about overseas purchases. 

I never understood why these guys that come in with terrible posts, then reply to others saying "I thought this was a free ride sneaker club.....blah blah blah...something smart aleck" don't ever actually LEAVE and go away when their expectations were wrong.... Why don't they go away?

That's exactly correct. It boils down to principles. That aint right, no way, no how. 

Plus, the pair they did send me weren't flawless. Toe box on one had paint coming off, etc... You will notice that I did not participate in the complain fest that ensued the other day over poor quality, shipping, etc. That is because I am a reasonable, somewhat patient man. 

This ****za is completely uncalled for though. I simply can't wrap my head around this one.

Had an employee email me at 4:30 this am, so they definitely had the product.  

I've been checking my email inbox like a fiend. This aint right, homie. I need my kick-fix.

They will not refund you VAT.  There are few retailers that we order from on here that are willing to give us a break like SH does, especially if they don't advertise that they will do it (or offer a discount code).  Otherwise, the process of getting VAT refunded is very difficult and after the 3rd party gets their cut, you end up with about 18% of the VAT that you paid, at best.  If you were actually buying them in their store over there, they would still charge you VAT.  But as you came back into America, you could go to a customs counter and be directed to one of the 2 main third party agencies that are used to recover the VAT.  You fill out some paperwork, show items and receipts, sign some paperwork, and get refunded around 18% of the VAT you paid if you're eligible.

Buying online does not provide this luxury, and you would have to do more research and spend more time than it is worth to get your $5 out of $25 VAT back on these shoes.

cool.  live and learn.  won't be ordering from offsprings in the future.

Why do you say you're certain to get hit with fees?

A couple pages back a dude was charged $100+ in fees. Not sure about all the details.. But that's what I read.

People like you are the reason good shops like snipes are not shipping to the US anymore. Do your homework before ordering from an overseas shop. If you can't afford to take the gamble on customs, don't screw the shops over and dispute the CC. It is illegal for them to misrepresent what they are selling so asking for gift/marking as lesser amts isn't the norm. Kickz is hooking a lot of people up who either missed out or wanted a second pair for a reasonable price. If you know you were going to get hit with customs and it was a deal breaker, why even bother ordering?

They said nothing about customs in their FAQ or policy. Ill pay customs if its less than $30.
