I disagree. Im all in on this release strictly due to having the OGs. It’s a Chicago/Shadow mashup so I’m cool with the colorway & unlike many…. I’m a huge fan of sail midsoles.
These will be added at all costs. Hopefully those that don’t like can pass & make it easier for those that want. But that’s wishful thinking……

It’s important to note that 10 years ago we were getting TONS of Jumpman branded mids and highs.
They increased prices and release numbers (and stock) on OG Highs and slowed down production of the cheaper Jumpman AJ 1s.
I think it’s quite likely they push more cheaper mids and less OG Highs, especially since Nike has said they want to focus on moving cheaper products to increase revenue. This also makes sense since they won’t be discounting OG Highs to cannibalize the sales of cheaper AJ 1 mids like what is happening now.
85s are different because they only release a few highs/lows a year. I wouldn’t at all be surprised if we see a run like in the mid 2010s where OG Highs are less available with fewer releases in between.

I understand what people are saying, but don't think it's a pure marketing scam/BS. Yes, it was the Air Ship that was initially banned, but consider if he later wore the black and red 1 stating that the Air Ship being banned wasn't relevant. Any lawyer/judge would think you're a freak'n childish moron for not understanding that if the Air Ship was banned, clearly the Jordan 1 would also be banned.
If your kid got in trouble for hitting a kid at school, and later stated that it's OK to hit the 2nd kid they later hit b/c they're diff from the first kit they got in trouble for, any rational person would be schooling that kid how their logic is s**t; they gotta stop hitting kids.
Sure the Jordan 1 wasn't the one that instigated that initial letter, but from a policy ban perspective both of these shoes are basically identical; both were banned.

Beautiful shoe! I picked these up when the secondary market was absolutely absurd, however I unloaded quite a few pairs myself to justify the price I paid. Both these and the Pine Green 1.0 are my favorite non og colorway.UNDS

They are much better than the 2.0s... which I just might get rid of because I have the Dunk SB Lows that have the CP 1.0 color blocking

I only have the 2.0's which i do like but i just kinda feel they're underwhelming in hand. I've had them since they released years ago and I've barely even worn em. The leather was just ok to me and then I'm not a fan of the leather Nike Air tag on the tongue.

is it safe to say Jordan 1 birthed online/App raffles hype releases system prior to that i just remember pulling up and standing inline. Can anyone remember was it the jordan 11? I remember lebron,kd, etc was hot. I know sometime the went from raffle to app and i wanna say it was around the 1 hype

2011 Jordan 11 concord actually started the raffles etc. I remember there being fights at a lot of stores (even mainstream spots like footlocker).
They started doing raffles more after that. It eventually evolved.
As far back as 2012 or so the one was still much more of a niche shoe.

Did Jordan 1s chaos with resellers cause app/online raffles to begin?
I can’t recall what made them go from paper to online/App or if it was just organic evolution through the location locator tool. Anybody can recall the transition
Prior too that I remember FCFS tickets (line up get ticket automatically) week before release or enter paper raffle at each store. I don’t recall entering a raffle at house of hoops for fontay montana 9s i just drove there on release day. I use to call ahead and just pull up to get shoes at the time.
