2015 Chicago prices are wild keep remixing
I've noticed that too. The market value would drop to around $700 and then jump back up to over $800 within in a week or two weeks time. I keep an eye on it since it one of my wants.

Reminds me of pre-2017 retro Royals.I've noticed that too. The market value would drop to around $700 and then jump back up to over $800 within in a week or two weeks time. I keep an eye on it since it one of my wants.

2013 prices were all over the place, used pairs were selling for like $500-$600 lol
Funny because, like nowadays, 1s weren’t as hyped in 2016-even 2016 BTs were going for slightly above retail and Storm Blues were basically on discount in FSRs in multiple places. Royals were still REALLY coveted during this time though.
Yeah it sucks because Royals ar met fav cw of AJ 1s and would have LOVED both 85highs and lows.Kanye really had an influence on that Royal 1s market, it wasn't even one of the hottest OG colorways pre-2008 until Yeezy started rocking them like a god damn saint.
Now you look at the resale prices of the 2017 Royal 1s, and you're like......"damn, its that easy to get a pair of Royal 1s with a Nike Air on the tag now"........WHEN it was a legit *** struggle prior to the 2017 retro.
I'm not surprised that is the reason why Jordan Brand (and the new Nike CEO) pulled back on the 85 Low Royal 1s release for this particular reason, and we may never even get an 85 High of the Royals 1s either b/c the hype is dead now
2017 Royals? Those were a pretty big release. Even right after release, resell was only like $20-30 over retail in most sizes. The real reason was allocation of 1s were limited. I would be inline and they would get 1 size run sometimes 2. Small /gs size wave began because again they were limited. Royal 1s were at a few stores in my city. Rather big city in New York

Oh yeah those were driven by the Kanye hype at the time.Talking about the 2013 that was going for over a thousand
I was there when Chicago Mids and New York Knicks Og 1 high dropped and sat in stores. I bought both a week after release. 2013 royals were limited and dropped all star weekend (2 months later) along the AllStar pack. No information on release dates or allocation until about a day or two before release on release maps. Resell was also low. I actually stood inline and still had paid $200 [Retail: $172] cause a kid in front of me had his family in the car and they took the last 3. Prior to that i was driving to house of hoops location to get limited kicks.Talking about the 2013 that was going for over a thousand
The problem now is that resellers are stubbornly clinging to exorbitant prices on Breds, Royals, Shadows and worst of all…Chicagos.I remember the 2017 royals flopping so bad on the market lol same with shadows. My local hibbets did fcfs for both and I remember a few days after getting my royals I went back to double up and they had loads. I ended up with like 5 size 12s I wasn't a flipper but figured why not lol I ended up barely getting my money back months later.
Bred toes was so low to. Crazy looking back how adidas/yeezy hype was so huge around then and super fire jordans were worth barely retail....storm blues etc....then maybe 2 years later....the explosion with 1s. Even had outlet rotters like metallic navys hitting 400 500

While I agree with this sentiment and I think you are right, Jordan 1s are Nike/JB’s bread and butter.I feel like at some point within the next year, we're going to see a marked change in the number of color way releases of JB kicks as the new CEO's changes come to fruition. Nike needs to focus more on innovation to compete with the likes of HOKA and On Running.
Yeah fr. Another problem wit 1s to is their isn't a rush to unload due to not crumbling. Rubber tanks. People look back on 94 prices and even early 2000s og 1s. See big $$ down the road. The problem now is that resellers are stubbornly clinging to exorbitant prices on Breds, Royals, Shadows and worst of all…Chicagos.
Prices have come down somewhat, but still pretty damn high.
They can’t let go of the idea that pandemic year 2.0 is coming.
On release day I'm rolling out the list of everyone talking bad about these Unions… you a hypocrite.. you a hypocrite …you a hypocrite … oh you definitely a hypocrite I myself will be doing the harlem shake each time I open the box

They cost about $20-$30/pair to produce but have a pretty high profit margin due to people seeing them as a higher end item than regular Dunks or AF1s.
I think what will happen is Nike/JB’s will cut production numbers and number of releases on OG AJ 1s while ensuring Mids, etc. are well stocked. This will slowly bring hype back but I don’t think it’ll hit 2020 levels because, quite frankly, the government isn’t handing out people tons of money to do nothing lol
If you have the OG’s the collab is just tired at this point, I can’t even recall a Union drop since that was even remotely interesting. To be honest anything with a Chicago theme has been just painfully dull and overdone.
