That's because once official images come out it means the release date is nearing. People ALWAYS turn near release date, without fail.
The worst is when they publicly clown the shoe, try to buy it anyway, win a pair, then say "wow they're actually really nice in hand."

Quality on the last royals was pretty bad imho.
Leather looks so hard they need to be beat with a mallet before wearing just to save yourself from a long painful break-in. They made them with the super cheap mid stuff...

nah quality just wasn't consistent. I had a few pairs and there were some with a softer leather and tumbled and some were a bit more smooth and stiffer. I mixed and matched and saved the best possible combination for myself.

Always thought the Royals were pretty good. They’ve got a shoe tree in them now for some reason but they’ve gotta have atleast 100+ wears on them. Haven’t gotten much use this year but I’m sure they’ll pop back in the rotation again when the mood strikes
