yes, they're overrated
haven't held them in hand and I believe you when you say the leather is better
the leather damn well better be nice if they cost 2k
the fact that ppl are paying upwards of 8k in some sizes makes them overrated...these ppl have more money than brains

I just bought a pair of Mochas a few days ago but waiting for them to ship. Seeing the quality talk about the shadow 2.0s is making me wonder what the quality is for Mochas. Good? Bad? Decent?

Are the Shadow 2.0s quality awfully bad as the Retros we’ve gotten in the mid 2000s to early 2010s or are they bad as in it’s okay but disappointing compared to recent releases? The low prices make me want to jump on them.

I just received my 2.0s. The only retro + colorway I have besides the rookies. I don’t see any issues in quality. Leather and stiffness feels the same as other OG highs, my assumption is that the leather on these aren’t tumbled as the other highs hence the stiffness I.e. like the qtr panels of the ‘16 banneds. I much prefer the untreated leather as it has more sheen compared to tumble. Deciding whether to keep or use as trade bait aha

They flip flop on the tongues but I haven't seen the stiff tongue on I's since like 2018 or something.
