So you come in with a 'Come at me'

So why the hell do we care that you're spending at least $210 to sell for probably $350-shipping and fees.

So this is the part where I'm supposed to be impressed
these will go for 500 all day and even higher in the future. don't kid yourself.

And since when is making 150 profit something to snub???? Sorry we're not all blowing our noses with 100 dollar bills.

Resell lifestyle usually brags about their big hauls but not about the stumps they bought that they have to unload at or below purchase to get cash for the next release.

I get paid more than that 'lifestyle'.

500 is a reach in my eyes. Maybe in a few years but now its a reach.

So lets meeting in the middle at 400. minus 14% in ebay/paypal fees you're looking at $344 and then subtract 14 for shipping so you're left with $330. Factor in your initial cost of $210 and you're left with a $120 profit.

Not a bad payday but its not something to brag about nor is it worth mentioning to people on the internet or getting aggressive over

In that $120 you gotta factor in your time sitting in line, shipping, etc.  To me it is not worth the trouble.  If you waste 4 hours of your life on it you are losing $.

And there lies my point.

Shipping and dealing with buyers isn't worth the small profit that occurs 99% of the time

and there is even more profit if you go thru pp invoice because you dont have to pay 14%

1000

Agree.  It is rare there is some insane profit to be made.  Funny how many people don't consider their time to be worth anything.

Fine 4% plus a discount. I know I never pay through paypal invoice unless I'm getting a discount.

So roughly you clear $150 after putting up $210 and getting several hours of aggravation and dealing with idiots.

Not worth it

EDIT: Through paypal you give a small discount down to $380 and after paypal fees and shipping you still only clear $140

I guess the Owners of FLIGHT CLUB are losers…………… RICH LOSERS

Dude you're always coming out of left field w/ your responses/ posts.
Professional Reselling outside consignment shops is a job for losers.

Better?
I don't care about reselling & the people who do it but man, a lot of them are some real clowns.

Dudes think they're some big time hustlers & brag like they're making serious bank

.

Like I get it, 5 minutes of pressing buttons isn't bad at all for say $60 or more profit (depending on the shoe) but unless you're getting FSR's or

running a successful/ consistent ATC/ RSVP service, dudes need to chillax on thinking they're doing big things.

Flight Club  here in LA and I'm Sure NY as well

Gets a Grip of New Releases on RD not from NIKE/JORDAN accts - but from BACK DOOR DEALS w/ people they know at Finishline, Foot Locker etc etc

they are one of the main Culprits here in So Cal (LA Area) among others for Depleting Stock at stores on RD

These guys do more damage to the inventory of kicks sent out then the kids selling 1 or 2 pairs for resale  IMO

You guys seem to think that Ebay is the be all, end all place to sell things. A cutthroat price on Craigslist or Instagram will get a quick sale with good profit.

No I just showed the math for a paypal invoice.

You're overestimating hype. These will sell slightly better than the Lance Mountains. If you're willing to hold on to em for a year then yeah you can probably make your 300$ profit. But you said instantly resell so unless you get a complete idiot you will be making a modest profit. Congratulations.

if one has no discernible skills, is their time really worth anything?  i guess 7 bucks an hour?

I wish NT had a section dedicated to this, man. I grow so tired of entering shoe threads and finding post after post of ResaleTalk.

It's wild, because reselling was here from the beginning but for some reason it feels like ___s just feel the need to actually TALK it about way more in recent years. Why can't y'all just do what you do and keep it moving?

I for one (can't speak for others) don't care that you're planning to resell your shoes if you can get a pair but you come in here bragging like people in here care to hear?

Like grow up dog & move/make your money in silence.

OR you can take that lame bragging to the reseller circle jerk that is "Sneaker Twitter"
