And my bad if it's been posted lately, haven't dropped by the JB forum in a while, but are those Black/White 1's still retroing this year or what?

For those of you not familiar with the origin of KO I thought this was an interesting article worth checking out. If it's true, I would have never guessed it.

Hey V! Yeah I was reading that.. Sounded like an interesting theory worded together to make sense but at the same time I just don't believe it until they say it lol.

I remember someone on here saying the shoe had to do with boxing. KO stood for knock-out and the shoe was canvas just like the floor of the boxing ring. Could've been BS, but knowing Nikes business strategy, Knock-Off sounds more appropriate. :lol

I thought I read somewhere it did have to do with boxing but the canvas was representative of a canvas heavy bag

Yeah I remember many years ago before there was even a thought of an AJKO retro speaking to some older guys giving me history lesson on air Jordan's and mentioning the KO's in correlation to boxing and the canvas ring. Stalking Air-Jordan.com mentioned this too many years ago but I'm not sure if the sight is up and running. That website had a ton of info on air Jordan's especially the 1's that are probably the most mysterious sneakers of all time. They even talked about the pony knock offs that were abundant around '85-'86. That ok standing for "knockoff" theory does make a ton of sense though. I would imagine Nike saturated the market with air Jordan 1's, so much so that they were making their own knock offs as well. The regulars, the lows, the metallics...makes a lot of sense.

$1000 + DS shoe for something that will never get a return on your investment? nah im good on that, i could put $1000 into a paint job for my car and get minimum of 3K out of it

"It ain't trickin if you got it" .. Add in the fact Charm said it was a B'Day present for himself, I can't knock what he spent on that custom job. Enjoy them fam, wear them till the soles crumble :Nthat

So you buy shoes based on resale value? And lol at a $1k paint job.
