If the Purple/Gold pair (the two highs in general) is like the Lance Mountains, that upper layer of paint isn't ever going to come off without deliberate effort.

I'm in for them, and don't intend to change the colors.

if I cop I'd maybe even consider painting the edges purple

Between the Target convo in the InfraVI thread and other random convo topics, I can't remember which thread we all talked about FOMO as a "sneakerhead" but I'm starting to feel like if I don't grab these, I'll actually be upset about it down the line. I saw one pic earlier of the rear of this pair...and that red ankle collar as well as its structure looks really nice....So, I feel like on the basis of construction, I kind of want these now. But I don't like the glisten of the black leather.

Something about it just doesn't do it for me. But that one vantage point pulls me back in.
