Are they uncomfortable?

I wouldn't say they are uncomfortable, but are for sure noticeably stiffer than regular leather AJ 1s.
Having said that, I am wearing wool socks with them because I thought it was going to be colder than I'd like here in LA, so the comfier socks might have something to do with these not feeling that uncomfortable.

I definitely would for retail, but looking at them side by side makes me sad. Frags quality looks amazing. Leather swoosh.

If the quality on the royal chicagos is halfway decent it might look ok, but it could look cheap and try hard real easy. Time will tell
