Something came to my head as I spectate this thread and the Chicago thread, looking at all the people who really wanted a pair of Chis and struck out.
I thought to myself, "what if Nike put the AJ Hi OG on Nike ID? It's be a reach, but it'd also be a big deal in the sneaker community since it'd be the first retro to hit NikeID. They could have all the OG colors that have released on NikeID; leaving room for stuff that hasn't had a proper retro with the new mold(i.e. Kentuckys/White-blues, Metallics, new retro+ colorways we have no knowledge of, old retro+ colorways like white-navy-silver, and silver-silver). This way more people would get pairs, it'd drastically cut down on fakes and steep resale, and if they wanted to limit the **** they could at least make it a QS like the Kobe IX Elite MC option, or take the the shoe down and bring it back up. Honestly they could even add certain special options like laser, mesh, and even flight weave and other stuff."
Then I thought about quality and how IDs sometimes have minor issues that quality nitpickers can't overlook. I also thought about how the Jordan 1 has become the most flex heavy jordan and how people lowkey love the "I got something limited you dont" exclusivity of them, even when they miss out(hence the reseller abuse). And lastly I thought about how I have a low post count here and only two pairs of AJ1s(2001 royals & 2001 silver-silver) so my opinion probably wont mean much here. In a perfect world the Id thing would happen though.
Back to spectating. Later. Have a good night/day.
