i would actually counter but all youve said up till now has been dead wrong.... admiting your wrong aint bad everybody cant be right all the time bruh :lol
I'm not sure you are capable. You claim I'm wrong but provide no reason as to how. Odd.

Anyways...

Resale was as high for smaller sizes too soon after RD. I was in the market for a 9.5. I think that $350 at the time was a substantial markup for a newly released AJ1 so that shows to some extent that they were highly sought after. In addition, local shops that got them seemed to have backdoored/raffled the pairs and online releases sold out faster than what I was used to back then. I'd say Royals were hyped...

The difference in perspective could be if @torontostar
is strictly basing his opinion on local sales. He lives in Canada and I am in the Northeast. May be a difference there.. Either way online was a blowout.
Yea I thought about this. Perspective.

The only typical thing that kills me about us Ntr's is like that thing where we think we have some entitlement to a sneaker for release like a 1. I mean 15 to 25k on release and im sure about 10 to 20x that many alone visit this board and other sites. When you cop online, you should feel lucky and not take it for granted. Cop around town and kudos for you doin the work.

I dont know abbout you guys but i was way more interested in that joker line than royals.
Yup , and people were stressing overall all star selection that weekend.

theres been countless reasons around your posts that you are doing a very goo job of ignoring.... & you admitted defeat , then started back quoting people who are in fact pulling your leg but you think they are agreeing :lol carry on riding thru the 6 homie

It was on mine but I took em off when I had a deal for a pair of Lightning 4s....

which turned out be GM
You could never imagine doing such a thing now

nobody wanted them royals... lol

You confirmed it. You're intellectually inferior than most.

So I Doubled up on Breds, shadows, Black/White, Black Toe 1s for now. Can't wait for May 30th Chi 1s, My royals ehh ok for now but later this year hopefully another pair and banneds. Hell I even want a second pair of Knicks 1s lol

OG Colorway

WOW!

Dudes complain about retro molds not looking anything like OG molds in like every thread. I'm not a regular in this thread and it's very possible that those same complaints are present here, but retro I's...even "OG", don't look anything like these.

These are dope, by the way.

It's going to be way harder than you think. A lot of resources are put in to keep you coming back.

I can't speak on other parts of the country, but in Philly, the "hype" really was on those Chuckposites. The Royals were kind of an after-thought. That's not to say that they sat...they certainly did NOT sit. If you weren't online before the store opened, you weren't getting royals. But on the line, a lot of people were talkin that Chuckposite stuff.

It's all irrelevant at this point though.

Hype spreads like wildfire though. I remember when royals released, nobody wanted them. Now include hype and nobody can get any single jordan 1. Hype is the primary force behind a lot of these releases. It ifs not hyped, A LOT of people don't want it.
maybe they were easy in your area, a lot of backdoor ops were happening that day because they literally let like 3 people in to cop shoes and came out 5 minutes later and said sold out, it might be a regional thing or something but the hype was real for royals from the get go but it was low key and nobody was really ready for it

This. It's not something you "get out of your system." You'd only either be putting those habits on hiatus or find other ways to feed them. You end reckless spending by developing self-control.

All star weekend definitely helped me cop Royals. I only put in one single raffle ticket at a HOH and I got called, and I remember the worker telling me majority are just entering raffles for the Allstar shoes. I regret not trying to double up back then.

"Nobody wanted royals."

"People saying frags are trash."

What?!?!?!

We making things up today on NT I see.

And to those who don't think you can ever just stop buying kicks one day. It's actually possible. Completely done? No. But as a 40 year old with kid, I buy maybe 4-5 Jordan's per year. There's just too much nonsense that's released. JB has done a good job of not getting too much of my money in '14 and '15.

I was happy fear Vs came up a few pages back been meaning to ask this question. When I picked up PSNY I was trying to figure where similar material was used. Anyone who owns or have had both in hand both, are those rough materials the same. That rough suede material. And anybody who has worn PSNY , how does it take to wear? Does it crease "nicely" or how is that material. Pic of both toeboxes below
