maybe some folks just actually like mids, phats, fusions, and team jordans?

Well to each his own, there is a reason these shoes sit and get heavily marked down though. People can wear whatever garbage they want but sales don't lie and 1/2 million Air Jordan XIs were sold in one day with almost nothing left and insane resale prices... Mids/Fusions/Team J's are a poor man's retro Jordan, at the end of the day.

Considering most mids look like they were designed by 6 year olds, I would say it makes sense. The only thing more ratchet than mids are phats, fusions, and especially team Jordans... Nothing says "I can't afford REAL Jordans but I'm still trying to look cool" than wearing any of these aforementioned pairs. Once again, JB is laughing all the way to the bank.
What, so if you don't wan't to spend $180-$250 on a pair of retros then just a poser? Somebody is a bit of a sneaker snob.

Then go buy a pair of Chucks? Jordans aren't for everbody... Even worse are those Jordan I fusions with other models (AJ I Retro '99, '97, etc.). What a disgrace to the AJ Is and beautiful AJ Retros they are inspired by....

i think any XI is an ugly shoe that i would never buy.  all those sales numbers tell me is that there are a lot of followers.

Come on guys just buy what you like and don't care about anyone else's opinion except for your own. Idk why this talk is goin on lol

To your logic buying any popular retro makes you a follower. If mids were any good, why is there literally 0 hype or demand? Either they make way too many of them so they get marked down or most people think that they are garbage.

As a member of NT, you're not allowed to formulate your own opinions. You can only buy what NT says is cool. :rolleyes :lol

I think these were the only pair of Team Jordans I bought and I wouldn't mind picking up another one if they drop again...

Definitely a great pair of shoes to ball in...

Oh no I was speaking strictly to casual use... Jordan even balled in FBIs during his last season on the Wiz.

I'm pretty sure JB sells more team Jordan's than they do signature and retro models... Can anyone confirm that?

But yea... They are laughing all the way to the bank

Now we're complaining about Jordan's being too easy to cop and going on sale. :{

I have Fear lV's, Motorsport Vl's, and Gym Red l's, along with True Blue Mids, New Loves, Hare's, Orlando Magics, and both pairs of the Armed Forces pack; main point being that there's no logic in this statement you just made. People should be doing the same thing that i'm doing, which is buying whatever I happen to like and buy. Could be a CP3, a Melo, a Team Jordan a Low, or a Mid, as long as I like it that's all that matters. Also not sure what "REAL" Jordans are supposed to be, other than shoes put out by Nike under the Jordan Brand moniker, which all the aftermentioned shoes are.

None of those lines, or any new lines for that matter, will ever achieve the same level of popularity as the first 13 Jordan models, that's an unquestioned fact. Doesn't devalue every other model however.

Well they produce different team models for different uses, retros are limited to casual use nowadays (at least for the most part).

it means they arent popular and i cant see them ever getting popular since they look like midgets wearing clown suits with these stupid colors and PL and whatever else they use on 1 mids

How do fusions, mids and phats not devalue other models? They are a ripoff of a classic.

EXACTLY. Thank you, idk why people are getting so butthurt over the AJ1 mids that they found in a Nike Outlet dumpster... Jeez

Then why is demand so low for these shoes? People who arent even on NT aren't buying them so what does that say about them?

Idk where you live but I see people rock mids on the daily, and honestly there are some dope colorways. Everybody is not a "sneakerhead" per se and may just like the silhouette. The average consumer probably doesn't care about the same things we do. I've seen a lot of people wear fusions as well as team Jordan's. Just because you or I may not like a certain shoe doesn't mean someone else doesn't find them appealing.

Explain how they do. As previously noted, all numbered retros sell out on a consistent basis, with only a select few (That fans all across the board acknowledge as being ugly as hell) going on sale. So by all acounts none of the models you're trashing are effecting the numbered retros in any way.

My point being is that they sit on shelves before being marked down heavily and either hitting outlets or being sent back to Nike and being destroyed... They seem to have so little demand, it makes me wonder-who exactly is buying these shoes?

I would like to know tho as well. If 200k pairs sell in a day or a year its still 200k. Of course the longer they sit the deeper the sale and discounts.

Those models have no effect on the retros. They are not even in the same class. That's like saying a 2015 Mustang will devalue a 1965 GT 350.

Pretty much. If anything, those models, that again aren't as popular and go on sale, but are released constantly, only make people notice and value retro releases all the more.

There's no logic here. Considering something to be a ripoff of something else doesn't then mean that the "ripoff" is devaluing the original creation. Numbered retros are selling more units, at a higher price than ever, and at the same time there are more non-numbered Jordan models than ever, but somehow numbered retros are being devalued? :rolleyes Ignoring biased opinions, they most certainly aren't.
