I like the level difference between the two parts of the shoe, however I like to have cushion in the forefoot too. I'll keep you up to date.I'd be interested to hear an update whether the forefoot breaks in because I experience somewhat the same thing with the Ultra Boost but to me it is the big drop between the heel and toe where the forefoot's boost is a bit too thin for me to a point where my forefoot starts to hurt after an hour or so of running.
You wrote that you like that on the shoe though so it might not bother you as much, in running I like there to be less drop from heel to toe but there also aren't any jumping in running so the difference might be there on the cushion preference.
