Official 2023 San Francisco Giants Off-Season Thread - Jung Hoo Lee signs with SF 6-years $113 Million

I just saw the worst Ab in the history of MLb in whatever Pablo was doing. But ir was so bad it forced a uncatchable pitch and thus Pablo made it to first.

In related news - im going on 7/8 and realized Harvey is pitching for the Mets so I'm more excited for that.

I was thinking of going to a game this weekend but with BART on strike I'm reconsidering.

Bochy playing this bum Perez going 0-3 all with strikeouts :{

Who do you want him to play?

Pence 0-5 Pablo 0-5 (3 K's)

I'f your name isn't Buster Posey you haven't been doing **** the last two weeks. Yea lets blame Juan Perez get outta here with that :{

Posey out of the lineup today...

This would be the first time in history a team has been no hit twice in the same series.

Why I hate Giants' fans:

Various reasons.

I hated how, back in the early 2000's, Giants' fans were more concerned about bragging about how many HR's Bonds was hitting as opposed to the concern they had about their team winning games.

I hate how all of these Giants' "fans" appeared out of nowhere around October 20, 2010 and again around October 20, 2012. These people don't watch baseball, don't watch a lick of baseball, but feel that they have "bragging rights" over legit A's fans. Like... you think you're so cool because you conveniently started rooting for a local baseball team when they were up 2-0 in the World Series? Then they have the nerve to claim that the Giants' are their team. Sorry, but you don't have a team. You don't watch baseball.

But most of all, I currently hate EVERYTHING about the Giants' organization because they are cock-blocking the A's from getting a ballpark in Santa Clara County.

I don't like the city of San Francisco. I think it's dirty, and I hate the hills.

If it were up to me, the Warriors would get the new Niners' arena in Santa Clara, and the Niners would get the Warriors' future arena.

I've got family and friends who are A's fans that swear up and down this is the sole reason they hate the Giants. I personally don't think the Giants are winning crap this year. Would I like them to, sure, but I don't believe it. But, what I do hope is that the A's win it this year if it's not the Giants. Not because I'm some sort of A's rider or anything along that line, nor is it about a NorCal pride thing. I hope the A's win it because one of two things will happen:

1.) The A's will get the same frontrunning fans that we have, then I can throw that **** back in their face for the bandwagoners.

2.) A marginal to no amount of fans jump the Oakland bandwagon, thus debunking the thoughts of A's fans that a majority of Giants fans are just here through the good times...and I can throw that **** in their face.

For the record, I don't hate the A's, I just don't like their fans.

You act like that doesnt happen when the A's start playing well too. I use to go to a ton of A's games when I lived in the Eastbay and there was a drastic difference in stadium turnout and fan support when the A's werent playing well to when they were in the hunt. Even last season, empty stadiums in Oakland all around until the end of the season, when the A's made their playoff push.

I had Giants season tickets for 7 years and I can tell you first hand, more people show up to Giants games than A's games when their teams are doing poorly.

But ultimately what you're referring to are bandwagons. Every team has them, no matter how many true fans support the team. You act like its just the Giants that have fake fans appearing out of the blue when the teams playing well calling the Giants their team. As if the A's had no fake fans last year who hopped on the wagon after the final game of the regular season. You should hate your favorite team across the bridge for that same reason then.

A's fans shouldn't even be talking about fanbases. I don't know if they still have those $2 ticket days, but when I used to go those during my high school years, there was practically NO ONE there. Can't talk @#$% about other teams' fans when your own fans refuse to pay $2 to watch your team play, and half the people there are Giants fans who couldn't afford tickets for that day's game. Other than that, I have no problem with the A's (really couldn't care less about them)

Of course more people go to Giants' games when they're playing poor. Why? Because they have a nice ballpark and these corporations buy out the seats. Their park is like Staples Center during Lakers' games... 60% of the people there don't know **** about what they're watching, they're just there so they can tell Carol and Steve that they went to the game last night.

This is what kills me about this "Cockblock to San Jose" argument. You badmouth the big wigs who attend games, yet it's these same big wig yuppies (as one of my friends called them) with their corporations and their highly paid employees that you're trying to swoop to build a new ballpark in San Jose. Hypocrites.

Some A's fans act like we didn't have any fans before 2010 and that's completely false. The last 8 seasons at the Stick we still outdrew them!

For the record, I couldn't give a **** less about who attends A's games, so long as they're attending. The reality is that business people are the target for teams, and everyone else is left in their wake. If that's what it takes to sell out to stabilize a team, so be it.

If you're an A's fan, how does this even affect you? Are you really that bothered over what other people do? The sports world seems to be dominated with who is a "legit" fan and who isn't.

why ***** are a's fans in here crying when they have one of the best teams in baseball?

Because the Giants are trying to force the A's out of the Bay Area. I realize none of you believe this but look up the Sac Bee interview with that potential A's owner, he says it himself.

What is the benefit for the Giants letting the A's move to San Jose?

There is none. And thats why it will never happen.

Lol. You think MLB owners are going to put the ATE on the line in court to protect your team? **** out of here.
