Easily the worst starter in majors

His ERA was 3.58 last season and better than that if you throw out those 2 garbage starts he had before he hit the DL. He is the worst starter in the major right now, but in 2014 and 2015 he proved to be a better second half pitcher. Holding out hope he turns it around soon, can't wait until the second half of the season at this rate though

Peavy is out there throwing batting practice pitches. Whatever happened to bringing up random call ups like Eric Surkamp, Ryan Sadowski, and Mike Kickham? They were good for a start or two then sent back down.

From what I've read, the guys they would consider to call up from AAA haven't been pitching well to start the season. Also, they can't send Cain or Peavy to the minors (too much big league service time). The only options would be DL or DFA. They're not hurt and Bochy and the organization respects veterans too much to DFA them a month into the season. They even waited 2 months last year before they sent Casey McGehee packing.
