I hope I'm wrong but I expect Tim to get roughed up later today. He's been pitching well, granted both starts were against SD, but he's been awful against AZ of late.
I think there is something to be said about Lincecum's success and Buster catching him. Lincecum was effective out of the pen in the playoffs, Buster was catcher. In Lincecum's only postseason start he was as bad as he had been all regular season long, Sanchez caught him. Sanchez also caught him his first three starts this season.
3 starts w/ Sanchez: 16.0 IP /13 Hits / 12 BB / 15 K / 5.62 ERA / 1.56 WHIP
2 starts w/ Posey: 13.2 IP / 10 Hits / 5 BB / 17 K / 1.36 ERA / 1.10 WHIP
Early and easy to say that Posey makes that difference so far this season, but with an offense like the Diamondbacks have and the park they play in, this is a good test to see if Posey catching Lincecum makes that difference in performance.
