With the Warriors playing how they are, as well as the 49ers having a great draft....the Giants recent struggles have gone fairly unnoticed for me.  But being swept by the Padres is unacceptable.

My patience is growing very thin on Marco Scutaro as well.  I thought the contract extension was horrible, and that we would really only get 1 productive year out of 3.  Now I am questioning if we will even get that 1.  I know its only been a month, but dude has been horrible.  Made an error on a double play ball this weekend that would have extended the game instead of ending it too.  I think its time to move Crawford into the two hole.

Vogelsong just hasn't been right at all this season. What's the deal there? Age? Innings pitched over the last couple of years? I hope he gets it straightened out soon.

When I was driving to work this morning, KNBR was saying that Vogey was having mechanical issues so far this year.  They didnt actually address what the specific issues were/are until after I parked in my office parking lot, so I didnt hear what they were.

The Scutaro deal smells exactly how the Huff deal was... I understand it, but I hate it...I truly hate deals like that.

There's a reason he's been on like 8 teams afterall....his back has been hurting? Just shelve him - he's older anyway, time off would do him some good.

As for Vogelsong - KNBR this morning (P-Con during M&M) was asking if they think it's age, innings, WBC, etc...response- all those have to be considered at this point.

Deep playoff runs while constantly digging ourselves out from holes probably took a greater toll on everyone than we could have imagined. Obviously the payoff was sweet, but now we're dealing with the fall out.

Thought Timmy pitched fine - our defense has been the drag, which is surprising. Torres needs a new 'script.

Thankfully Noonan has produced nicely in the time he's gotten some burn. I'd give it a few more weeks, the very end of May at most, for Scutaro to pick it up. I don't think he'll get all season to fail like Huff was given. He'll just be permanently benched or brought up in PH situations.
