Official 2023 San Francisco Giants Off-Season Thread - Jung Hoo Lee signs with SF 6-years $113 Million

The collapse is near complete. Blew Game 2, Game 3 is looking to go away, I wouldn't be shocked if the Cards win 4 straight. These solo shots are killing us.

Serious changes need to be made this off-season

If Hudson can get a quick 1,2,3 then maybe he can go out in the 8th.  I really don't want to see Strickland, Machi, or Romo on the field for the rest of the Post Season.

:lol

So you're basically saying you expect all of our starters to go 8+ innings? That is so unrealistic.

Extreme Cardinals bias, it's criminal.

You guys like Reynolds and Verducci?

Who can we even rely on in the bullpen?  Why do you think Bochy left Hudson in?
Man, I wanna say Strickland. Great stuff but can't handle lefties. Hitters sitting on the off-speed (slider) and teeing up on his fastball. The angle and movement on Strickland's FB just looks and works differently on left-handed hitters.

Hudson was facing the bottom of the order and Bochy needs to save lefties for Carpenter and Jay. I had no problem leaving him in.

I'm just completely disagreeing that you don't want to see any of those guys the rest of the way. So you're scenario is 7-8 innings from our starters then just relying on Affeldt, Lopez, and Casilla? Tell me in a world where that happens when Bumgarner is not pitching?

Like it or not this is our bullpen and aside from Sunday name me a point in the postseason (2010, 2012, and now) where they completely self destructed.

Obviously, there's no way we don't see those guys again given our rotation.  I was essentially just stating that I don't trust them.  What happened in '10 and '12 is irrelevant to what's happening now.  Different year, different players, different opposition.  Would I like to see them sit the rest of the Post Season?  Sure.  Will it happen?  Not a chance.
